  1. Old school train of thought, we do things differently I'm sure it won't be long and you'll see copy cats.
  2. Myth.. But it can pop the dustcap off if it is not secured properly..
  3. Lol....don't try to take that out A) You won't be able to, it's a/b glued in there. That also holds the pole in the motor to keep it from shifting as well..that's not how the woofer cools. Pole vents are useless..
  4. That's not going to work...you'll wear the edge of the surround out and rock the suspension... Already had 1 guy do that in a F150 with a pair of 10's...
  5. Only real difference is the cone body and the surround. We use a foam surround now, yours should have the rubber surround... Thanks! -Nick
  6. What exactly are you wanting to order? Email me your Name, Address and Postal code. We're shipping strictly via UPS now for packages to Canada... If you want us to use USPS that is totally your call, but once they leave our hands we'll scan the customs documents and email them to you, if you never get the subs it isn't our problem. USPS lost way too many of our packages to continue to support them for Canada...
  7. Thought Scott had already sent out the return label...apparently he didn't. Email me your Name and Address, i'll make sure the label goes out with the recone..
  8. 1250 watts If you abuse them no they won't take it. If your sensible about it then sure...
  9. Just part of making magnets, we're not going to reject every other magnet because the OD doesn't line up 100% perfectly. Not going to hurt anything..just how it is.
  10. Mike's van will do 175.8's-176's with one slapped in a sealed box in the back just messing around..
  11. bacon,tomato,lettuce Figure it out?
  12. No, there is no pole vent on the BL. You can't see the 'cooling' because everything is machined on the inside of the motor where the coil lies to keep the coil cool..the only way you can see them is if you cut it apart. You should see on your ups label it should be something to the extent of 12BLFL...or something of that nature. Thanks! -Nick
  13. Some flatwound coils will work, cost depends on what size recone you need... Thanks! -Nick
  14. High Qts setting should work fine with it...need to get it up around .67 for it to work in IB properly.. I'm not totally sure the arrangement on the sub off the top of my head, let me do some research and i'll get back to you.. Thanks! -Nick
  15. Pull them through the terminal blocks with a small pair of needle nose pliers. Solder the top side left, right, back and front. Snip the excess tinsel off of the bottom side and solder the bottom as well.
  16. That method, Yes. It will break very easily.
  17. So your located in Germany? Need some sort of address or postal code. It'd be $105 plus whatever the shipping would be..we'll ship via USPS internationally, but we have no guarantee's if it gets there or not. Once we ship it we'll scan the customs documents over to you and thats that...they've lost way too much of our stuff and not taken responsibility for it. Other then that your option is UPS..
  18. Subs up port back works significantly better in Explorers for the most part..I'd suggest doing it, but as I said it seems that you've pretty much got it figured out. Thanks! -Nick

The pole chamfer comes with the cooling...so they have it as well.
  20. There is no 'brownish' glue that melts....your not going to melt the glue out of the surround to the basket. Your getting the terminals too hot (clipping?) and starting to break the solder down. We use a rosin core solder, it could be the wax that the leads themselves have on them as well, odds are that's what you are seeing... Your either getting some DC voltage out of your amp, or you've got the coils wired down really low and your getting alot of current to cause the heat build up causing the rosin from the solder to wick out... Definitely need to check your settings on your amp and see whats going on. I've seen terminals come back black. Few weeks ago we had a coil that turned white and all of the glue around the coil had melted out of it...melted the solder out of the tinsel leads/terminal blocks...it was worth hanging on the wall.
  21. The two pieces of the stuff in your truck that we used on the rear deck of dave's car has seepage I swear his car was owned by satan. it's the freaking hottest place on the face of the earth. Darker color and that damn leather interior That stuff is the spawn of satan...
  22. lol. oopsy Thank god i've had no problems with seepage in the truck...the pro is hangin in tight like a tiger.
  23. Sounds like you've got it figure out to me..
  24. Bad idea...those motors snap baskets that are screwed to the top plate....let alone some tiny 1/4 20 bolts
  25. Should be set 3-4Hz below the tuning frequency of your port.
