Bluetooth audio streaming quality
I tried my phone in a couple of other vehicles and while they did sound a little better, they had a tendency to sound garbled at higher volume. I understand what M5 is getting at. And most people will be fine with it, but not sure I can. That's why I was asking....Didn't know if the newer, better units fair any better than what I have now (which is getting replaced regardless). Thanks for the input so far guys!

Bluetooth audio streaming quality
With this being the 2014 model, I haven't found it anywhere local yet, only online. The thing that is good about this one is the ability to access the phone's music folder through usb on android. I have a Galaxy S4 with a 64 gig card that should work nicely with that. Worst case, I plug in the aux jack when streaming Pandora and such. Can anyone with a recent model Pioneer vouch for the Bluetooth sq?

Bluetooth audio streaming quality
I was looking at the media units also, as I very seldom play a cd anymore. But I think I'm gonna go with the Pioneer DEH-X8600BH. Unless there's something better for the same price (160ish). I like all the android compatibility with that unit. Plus those 4 volt pre outs should sound nice....

Bluetooth audio streaming quality
Awesome! That's what I was hoping. The unit I have is one of the first BTs that were made. Plus like I said, it's a Dual. Can't wait to step up to a good quality unit. Thanks man!

Bluetooth audio streaming quality
My Christmas gift from my family is going to be a new HU. I'm replacing a Dual unit with either a Pioneer or Kenwood as I've heard more good things from those 2. The new Pioneers have android app control through Bluetooth. The BT in my Dual has pretty crappy volume compared to plugging it through the aux jack. Are all units like that? Or is it just the fact I've been running a lower quality HU?

Question on my electrical.....
No components..... but here could be another factor to consider. I'm running Polk dB525s rear and dB651s up front from the amp. However I'm running a set of Kicker 11DS40s in the dash off the head unit. They are usually the first I hear drop out. I've been planning on changing my speakers to a component set up front and dropping the rears.... bridging the amp to 100x2 vs 40x4. I know that will sound better in the long run anyways since I can barely notice the rears. But....should I expect an 80 amp alt be enough for everything anyways? Or am I hoping for too much....

Question on my electrical.....
Serious issue going on with my system, and I know it's gotta be my electrical..... just need some advice on where to go. I've only had my system in since April, and I've noticed at times that my front stage will suddenly begin losing treble, then volume. I turn it down and it recovers pretty quickly, within a minute..... but will do it again if turned back up. I have not upgraded the electric at all.... was hoping I wouldn't need to being that I'm not pushing a lot of wattage. Amp is a Kenwwod7005PS 5 channel..... manual says it pulls 56 amps. I'm guessing my Scion xB 80 amp alt just isn't enough...... but would doing a big 3 help this??? (I have some 4 ga left over from the amp install that I guess would have to be better than what's there now.) Now that it's getting cool it seems to happen more often with the heat running. And if a bigger alternator is needed, would grabbing one of the 160 amp reman'd ones from ebay suffice? I'm never gonna be pushing big power, and don't want to spend $400 on one when a $150 one would do the job (especially with 2 kids and Christmas around the corner). Thanks in advance guys.

Zapco Reference 750.... decent amp?
That's what I'm hoping. Hard to find an amp for $100 that will push 750 @ 4 ohms. Just wondering if I'd be better off waiting and putting that $ into something better when more funds become available. But it's hard to pass this up if it's really as good as others have said in the reviews I was able to find. Pretty big freakin amp though.... probably have to mount it to my sub enclosure as my Scion has VERY LITTLE space left with a 4 cu. box in the back.

Zapco Reference 750.... decent amp?
I've been running my 2 Dcons off of 300 watts (total) for a few months now, and I guess my ears are now getting used to the volume. Soooooo......time for more power! I've run across a Zapco Reference 750 that a guy has for $100. Looks to me like a great fit wattage-wise, as it will push 375 per channel or 750 bridged. I just want to know how these amps measure up, as I've never heard of them. Google searches seem to bring up positive reviews, but I'd like to hear from you guys who may have had experience with them. Thanks in advance!

Pictures no longer show up
Just got on the work computer and am noticing the same with the avatars. The pictures have never shown up here, due to some security settings they have to prevent social media..... but the avatars have always been there. Using Internet Explorer 8.

Nspl World Finals
I was planning on going to check out the systems, but a horrible cold has been kicking my a$$ for a week and a half. I did see a couple of vids on the Facebook page for the event. A Sundown badged black Jeep hit 159.9 with a shattered windshield covered with duct tape. Pretty impressive! I'll see if I can link the vid here when I get home. (no Facebook at work)

Mixtapes that SLAM....
Yeah.... I've picked up a lot from reading those threads, but that's one song at a time. I was hoping to find some mixtapes that hit hard throughout. Seems a lot of them I'm only keeping 2 or 3 songs. And if it slams in mine, it will in anyone's. I'm not pushing big numbers..... He means every setup is different. Some are built/tuned for numbers and will seem to "slam" on higher frequency bass, where as others are built/tuned for the lows, like mine, and will have more authority on lower frequency bass. There is also the subject of peak frequency and cabin gain. We could have the same exact equipment and same box specs in two different vehicles and it will sound different in each. So he is correct, what "slams" in your car might sound weak in mine. I totally understand what you guys are saying, and maybe I didn't phrase this exactly right. What I'm getting at is that a lot of mixtapes seem to have weak production for whatever reason on a lot of their songs, leading to a crappy listening experience. This particular one had really good production, with very nice bass on practically every track. My car has shook more from this one than any other thus far. Just hoping to find some more well produced ones to listen to.

Mixtapes that SLAM....
After downloading nearly a hundred mixtapes, I finally found one that pretty much slams from start to finish. YG's Just Re'd Up 2. If you haven't got it yet, do yourself a favor and check it out. Nice bass throughout.... http://www.datpiff.com/YG-Just-Red-Up-2-mixtape.441217.html But that makes me wonder what else is out there. What gems have you found that pound?

would like to increase my music library
If you haven't already..... check Datpiff.com . I ran across a few bass boosted/chopped mixtapes on there. I haven't tried the boosted ones myself, but if you're looking to add to your library that's a great place to start for any hip hop/rap music in general.

Flatline Audio Team Member Vids
What device do you use? I can watch them on my android phone. I can't watch them on my HTC ONE or the HTC Evo, or the Nexus 1 I had. Have you guys tried installing a different web browser? I had that problem when my Photon died and they gave me a replacement. Guy at the store recommended Dolphin Browser and it seems to work fine now. Worth a shot if you haven't tried it.....

hard hitting bass/rap music
Found these on an old thread a while back. Tells the frequencies played in the songs as well. Definitely a list of bangers! Full thread with other posts can be found at the following link. http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/forum/topic/43192-song-list-with-hz-range/

2 subs at different tuning?
Couldn't help but think about this thread when I read this. http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/forum/topic/58548-15in-dcons-sealed-vs-ported/ When I was trying to decide whether to go sealed or ported with my Dcons, this guy said he had best results with one of each.... that way he had the best of both worlds. I went ported, but still wonder how that would sound. Never seen it done before (I'm guessing there are reasons I don't understand for it not being practical)..... but seemed to sound the best to this guy.
