Nice! Those guys have a pretty unique country sound. Here's one of our most popular country bands. You've probably heard this one by now.

Checked them out.... man those cats are smooth! Reminds me of this band from Raleigh that I used to go to the clubs to see. Never got the break that they should have, and split back in 99. Check them out..... think you'll like them If you dig Funktion. They were a phenomenal live band! Aaron.... I LOVE this band! First time hearing them was when High was played on the radio back in 97. I had the cd the next day.

Checked out Chi Boy.... Good stuff! I'll be sending some likes his way. Things like that really help these guys when the big wigs see the numbers. As for Pop Evil, looks like they've finally reached that next level. They're getting airplay on the regular here in NC now. Always knew they were a great band. Congrats to them for what they've achieved! Here's one from the band that spawned Daughtry. Had the opportunity to play a few shows with those guys back in '04 and I knew that they were going somewhere. Well... Chris did and I guess he WAS the star. Thanks for the Tip on Chi Boy. I dig it and have some friends that I know will love it. When you guys see someone you really like, give their vids a like.... like their fb page.... tell your friends so they can enjoy it!

There are a lot of great bands/artists out there that are kicking ass and taking names. And most of them will never be heard outside of their region. Thought this would be a good place to help spread the word on some of your favorites. Where better to share music than with the people who are going to crank the tunes? I'll get things started with a few close friends that have been ripping up the scene around here. First up.... Waking Tera. Genre-Metal.... These guys have been blowing things up the past couple of years here in NC, opening for various bands from Trapt to Orgy(<----awesome group of guys as well, can't believe I never saw them back in the day). Second.... Killing The Catalyst. Genre-Metal.... Another great group of guys from NC that bring it every time. Just finished recording with Jamie King (producer of Between The Buried And Me) and this cd is gonna be BRUTAL! Right now they're in talks with a few labels and are holding out on the finished product. This is a non-mastered version but still sounds great! Lastly.... Chris Harlan. Genre-Hip Hop/Rap.... White boy got skills! This track was recorded with Pam Saulsby (local tv news anchor/musician) as a tribute to all the soldiers serving in the war in Afghanistan. The song was sent to the troops, and a portion of the iTunes sales proceeds will be donated to the Fisher House in Ft Bragg, NC. There are many more, but I just wanted to get this started as a way to share your favorites with others. All genres please..... let's help these people reach others outside their local scene. Thanks!

Dubstep violin????? Yesss!!! Thanks man... can't wait to hear this one (youtube blocked at work). lol funny that just came on my Pandora at work. She's cute "side note" Yes she is...... and that track almost put me in a trance. lol Good stuff! Checked out another one of her's while I was at it. Nice!! Seems like the violin is making it's way into a lot of genres nowadays. Met Lyris Hung and her band HUNG at a show they did with us last year. Progressive heavy metal with electric violin. That chick was badass!!! But I guess when you've played with everyone from Trans Syberian Orchestra to Jay Z you gotta be top notch! She's not too bad on the eyes either... DUDE! That's sweeeet..... never knew that Radiohead did anything like that. I figured they all sounded like Creep. They got any others like that? Wow! That is downright brutal! I can't imagine that in some of the rides you guys have. Kinda reminded me of the DJ Magic Mike bass test.....only lower. Awesome!

Kid friendly bass????

Never heard Gritz, but I've heard a few of Chamillionaire's. Thanks... I'll check him out! Heard some of the Psyph Morrison, and yes....I'll be picking up some of his stuff. As for Decaf, I have 33 zip files with hundreds of his mixes.... but there's A LOT of swearing in there. Take Pornstar for instance...WOW!!! But I do kick it when he's not with me. Thanks! Another new one to check out.... Wow! I'm gonna have a lot of tunes to listen to this week.... correction, WE are gonna have a lot to listen to. Thanks again everyone!! Keep em coming! And while I'm here.... what other songs have bass that hits like Put On by Young Jeezy? That song makes my eyes jiggle!- Kid friendly bass????
Cool deal.... I'll give em a spin. Thanks! Mine too.... Bullet For My Valentine seems to be his favorite. All Shall Perish has some BRUTAL double kicks that seem to rival some of the rap bass. Give them a listen if you haven't! I'll check out The Browning.....never heard of them. Thanks! Yeah, I had no idea Thrift Shop was as dirty as it was until I heard it on Slacker....wow! Haven't had any luck with Will Smith's tunes, lol..... but I'll give Hoodie Allen and Jake Miller a whirl. Thank you sir! Christian rap is one of the last bastions of "kid friendly" lyrics nowadays. You're pretty much right on that..... On it....Thanks! Ya know....not a bad idea. I've played and heard every type of music, exept that. Always sounded good in church... why not??? What's good? This is a pretty good compilation disc to get you started. Here is another. Thanks for the links! I'll check em out tonight. Oh yeah....LL had some pretty good ones. The ones you named are the ones that I remember listening to back in the day. But it seems that a lot of their recordings just didn't have a lot of bass (or decent sq for that matter). I played Run DMCs King Of Rock the other day and was like....huh???? lol... Forgot Kurtis Blow though, I'll have to throw him on my presets. Thanks!- Kid friendly bass????
Ya know....not a bad idea. I've played and heard every type of music, exept that. Always sounded good in church... why not??? What's good?- Kid friendly bass????
Dude......THAT'S what I'm talking about! The one I have is nothing like that. Shoulda checked him sooner. Thanks for the info!- Kid friendly bass????
Forgot about them.... I've heard a couple of their tunes before. Next on the list... Thanks!- Kid friendly bass????
Got it...gonna check it in a few. Thanks!- Kid friendly bass????
On it...thanks again man!- Kid friendly bass????
Lol. I would if my radio reception was actually worth a damn.... that's the weakest point of my system.- Kid friendly bass????
I have one of his remixes.."The Glow". Nasty bassline that makes the ear hairs tingle! I'll check some of his other stuff. Thanks!- Kid friendly bass????
That's what I've been doing..... but I know there's gotta be some groups out there that have some nice sounding bass without all the expletives. It's been twenty years since ANY rap was played in a vehicle of mine, so I'm WAAYYY outta touch with any of the new stuff. I'd hate to have to break out some Kid N Play on my little man.- Kid friendly bass????
Nooooooo... not at all! I love my heavy rock and metal, but now that I have something that actually hits the lows, I've found myself listening to a lot of rap and dubstep. - Kid friendly bass????
