so too much port area is harmful? never heard that.. im a noob so if u could please explain how?

i remember there being a very certain way to set up the remote gain from another thread on this amp, hopeful u can get it working, otherwise this has to be like the 2nd or 3rd 1200d giving ppl issues in the last fews weeks. have u tired setting the gain with out the remote gain hooked up at all? edit: if i remember right the remote is used as a way to turn the output down, so u basicly set the gain with out the remote gain hooked up, then turn the remote gain knob to max, then plug it in. so u cant turn it up into clipping...

the clarion is a good unit, i ownt it but cant compare it to others, since i dont have experience with them, but id say it well worth it, and has the capability for 2 way active plus sub ( or 3 way and no sub).

rockford t3002 or t5002 off ebay, make like 800 and 1000 respectively, at 2ohm according to the rockford website.

4 single voice coil subs would wire to 4 ohms or 1 ohm... i assume you mean 4 ohm DVC subs?

Hey would you be able to put a vid up on youtube of that, I've looked everywhere i can on the internet and not 1 person has a vid of an IXL 12"....would of thought there'd be a few on youtube just like the Icons and Fi Q's but nope...BTW I should get my IXL 12" tommorow, cant wait to use it with my Sundown 1200D, I may be the first to have a vid on youtube, that I know of anyway! Nope. Video's are 1000% useless in showing you what anything can do. Really easy to get a sub to do what you want and then film it. If you are interested in the sub, you can read my review and ask me questions but I won't post any useless videos. If I am shortsighted and there is something you would truly garner from the video, please educate me but I am dubious to say the least. but thems got like mad excursion yooo!!

only 8ohm recones... damn, gota be atleast 4ohms if im gona run only 1.. ill see if i can maybe get just a motor off u and see if mark has smaller baskets with recones that are 4ohms or something.

adding another amp to power the speakers is deff going be needed. do comps up front and if u really want to put something in the back u can... id recommend putting all the money up front...

is it a bass boost on the hu or gain?
