how did u fasten the mdf baffles to the door?

theres better amps for the money man. idk about mbquarts but id look into some other options. i had a min to look and here is where ive gotten my last 2 kicker amps, ubid.com u can get a 750.1 for under 200 bucks and they're underrated a far bit. theres plenty of other better choices for your price range (which i assume is around 200?)

i couldnt open that video with my mac so i found it or one like it on youtube. my question is, is it clipping when it goes from, what sounds like music playing, then at 6 to 10sec it becomes dull and muddy?

they (your friends) think its quieter because they dont hear the rear deck tearing in half. my personal experience with deadening is that it reduces rattles and noise which allows the music to be heard more clearly / louder.

id like to know how it compares to the pg rsdc's.

i just set my gain with the dmm for the first time, but first i got the reading for where i had it set by ear. according to the dmm i was clipping alittle bit but i never heard a difference. would the info in bold above explain it? and could someone elaborate alittle more this aswell?

if your really on a budget clarion has the dxz785usb, sonic, 140 bucks... i got it for 200 at xmas, very nice hu for the money imo.

i really need to clean up my build haha but its functional good luck with that box, i actually made 2 ported boxes, the first was alittle wimpy on port area, it worked but i decided to go back and make the 2nd somewhere around 36 in^2. i saw one guy recommending 12 in^2 per cube while other where saying 15... im still really interested in getting the guy from PTS to design me up one of his hybrid horn boxes if i can make it fit or make a 3rd ported box with a huge ass port

you loose alittle sq ported but if he's only listening to country he would probably enjoy sealed more. the only country i listen to is alittle johnny cash... actually i listened to afew song this morning. i had the sub turned down (just to blend it in) and my front stage was doing all the work. i listen to alot of different music so ported suits me pretty well. this weekend i might play around with afew thing and throw the sealed box back in for a change of pace. if you feel like trying out ported i went with 2.2 net tuned to ~30 hz and it works very nice. heres a link to my build log. the 3rd page has some pics of the box and front stage. page 2 has some pics of deadening. id tell your friend, since he listens to mostly country, to get some solid mid bass upfront. edit: just remembered the mli's so no problem with the midbass haha. im debated the mli's or carbon mids (or something else) to replace my pg components. build log

i have an arsenal myself. ran it both sealed and ported... i like the new dusk cap... im alittle jealous... currently it see power from a kenwood excelon amp rated at 600rms if u have any questions feel free to ask.

the front must come first. ill make a new tread soon with some Q's concerning some budget speakers, although the pg rsd's, surprisingly, are pretty decent. i cant help my love of subs... im 19 so i guess ill grow out of it...
