is a 18 inch ssd louder then 3 cheap 12's
sounds like he listed 1800 peak. probably the kac 910d or what ever the 900rms amp is. its not a bad amp, my bro has one on a 15 l7. id run it at 2 ohms... unless your completely sure it will run at 1ohm...

16 year old budget build
high pass on the coax's start around 100 and go up and down depending on how they sound. i suspect those 4's wont like low stuff. sub- low pass start around 80 and go down (probably wont go up) till you like it. my subsonic on my amp could only do 15 or 25 hz. 25 sounded better with the ported box. anything down there isn't audible anyways. playing a sub too hard below tuning could damage the sub aswell.

18 ssd fully loaded or 18 Q no BP
both are good speakers. they are just better for different application. dont get pissed. do u mean your ARE looking for spl? if you are i would think about a bl. i have no experience with fi. please keep and open mind and wait for a more experienced opinion.

alarm draining battery???
alright so last night i tried system unhooked and alarm unarmed. car started fine. tonight im trying system unhooked and alarm armed. if its dead then its the alarm. if its not dead then its the system, in which case i will get a distro block and remove the cap. it has a meter but is not staying on. but i have not checked to see if it was coming back on later....

alarm draining battery???
alright update time- new brain put in at circuitcity under warranty. sunday night i tried it with alarm armed and monday morning the battery had just barely enough juice to start. monday night i left the alarm off and had the same result tuesday morning. tuesday night i check my power wires in at the cap and saw they where alittle loose because i had to much solder on one so i fixed it and everything was tight. but again this morning i had just barely enough juice to get her going. tonight im trying with alarm armed but this time i removed the inline fuse and unplugged the turn on from the hu... anything else worth looking into. i noticed my glove box light is out... should i look into that??? haha im really at a loss...

My dad's ideas. (help)
tell your mom that she should make your dad help you for sake of father son time. i wanted to try one with more port area....

My dad's ideas. (help)
a 4 cube box would be pretty quick to knock out even with bracing and port your looking at like 3 hours tops for your first build (depending on how u plan it out and everything) suggest that your dad could just cut the wood for you and then get some of your friends over to assemble it.

the mtx thing i mentioned mtx Req is just a bass restorer that i thought would help. listen to the mach system with the LOC on the sub amp shows that increasing volume past a certain point gives no increase in bass volume. ive found something interesting that is offered by blaupunkt. there amps are direct plug-ins to factory systems. blaupunkt

my bad, my bro is like find some speaker and chit for my car and i dont really fell like dealing with it right now. sub is the l7 yes. currently its running off at 900rms kenwood amp. using a LOC. rest of the system is factory mach audio. so my question is what would you do with 250 bucks to get the best sound out of it?

wow 33 views and no posts.... ummm can someone tell me what size speakers are in the doors and rear deck for me? crutchfield doesnt list them but i think they are like 6x8s so ill have to do a 5.25 or make a spacer for 6.5"

the plan is to get the 15 l7 walled off and deaden the cab with a roll of raamat. im planning on keeping his factor stereo because he has the digital climate controlls build in. its the mach audio system so there is a factory amp. ive been told its puts outs 20x4. id like to add the mtx req if anyone thinks it would help. and as far the speakers go idk what id like to do here. budget is about 150-175. or $250 budget if u throw out the mtx req and go a different way with that. any advice?
