  3. oh by the way. the amps and cap will go on the long section and the crossover for the components will be in the smaller recessed section.
  4. nvm wrong post. free bump
  5. my friend has a jetta. what kind of electrical are u doing. they dont have much of a stock alt do they? how much do you think you could run off a stock alt and an extra batt? (in general)
  6. ya idk about the 15 going there either lol but it would be fun to try haha.
  7. my friend has a 90's something reg cab s-10. we got a rockford p1 15 in alittle over 1.5 cubes sealed, before polyfil, behind the passenger seat. the passenger sits alitte close to the dash but its not bad. id like to try a design like that in his truck if i can get my friend to go with it. we also did 2 12s and 2 10s staight across lol. that was cool looking but he's a tall guy so we ditched that idea. then we did 2 10s and the 15 in the middle. that was BA but we sold his 10s and just run the 15. good time haha ill show him your build. im sure he will want to give it a shot.
  8. that pic makes the box look really crooked but it isn't haha. if anyone see anything else that look crooked or misaligned it really isn't. its just the camera playing tricks on you. lol
  9. ok i got it. thats really creative. good job
  10. real simple build that is semi-temporary. xmas im geting another amp so ill just have to cut a new piece of mdf and mount it up there. sorry for the crappy pics... used the camera on the phone and i worked on it at night. first i mounted a piece of mdf with bolts to the metal. next i got another piece of mdf to bring the amp rack out so it clears the rest of the rear deck. here is the mdf rack mounted on there. showing the clearance with the sub box in. AA arsenal ftw pic of the sub box. (the amp rack hasn't been added yet but u wouldn't be able to see it anyways. finishing it tomorrow night.
  11. ill make a new post in the build logs.
  12. all right sounds good. i needed a pro's advice here. thanks alot
  13. ok no problem. ill get the rack mounted tonight and then mount the amps and run wires wednesday after work. so far i bolted a piece of mdf to the deck which i will mount a larger peice of mdf to. then mount the rack to that.... it will make alittle more sense when i get some pics up. im not painting anything yet. bare mdf is sexy!!! lol
  14. would anyone like some pic of the install? im working on it this week. its half temporary till i get my second amp this xmas...
  15. i got 2 amps (soon to be 3) and one of those things with the flashy light... i think they call it a cap.... forget what the does... but anyways. ive always heard that you should ground to the same location but its getting harder to mount all the components close enough that i can reach a common ground location. amps: kenwood excelon (600rms for the sub), kicker 250.2, (adding second 2 channel or 4 channel amp after xmas) Questions? 1) can i ground to different locations? if so how? 2) does the ground wire have to be like 18" long or less? can it be more? if i use a ground distro is there a max length in this application? 3) do you need more info on the install?
  16. u gota show some pics of the install. im trying to figure out where u have this thing going but its to early in the morning to think...
  17. it looks like its not walled... more pics!!!!

ignorance is bliss huh? have u ever met a muslim? i bet u couldn't tell the difference between a black christian and black muslim just by looking at them. or a arab and a indian? your intolerance is amazing!
  20. the grill thing on top of the holes are glued/attached permanently to the carpet on the rear deck. i would have to basicly remove the back seat and then life up the carpet to get to the holes.... i really like your idea tho, but its not goin to work in my car. im goin to try mounting upside down and use some spacers to allow air to circulate around the amp. should be fine for atleast the winter.
  21. okay dokay. ill try it upside down without fans for awhile. if i gets hot ill try something else out. its getting pretty cold here in central pa so it should be fine alteast till spring/summer.
  22. nope no rear speakers. i like that idea but there are factory grills cover the top of the holes so that wouldnt work out. id like to try a fan. how would i go about it? powering it, turn on and off, etc?
  23. i found some tempest batteries online. are they junk?
