  2. shame these are wasted on an appartment. really want to crank em and see what they can do
  3. fired up the tritrix for the first time just now. fantastic kit
  4. Would a three way allow me to get louder while still sounding clean? I have always assumed that's the benefit of having a driver per frequency range as opposed to two drivers or a singer driver.I want SQ at lower levels, but clean clear vocals and tight midbass at high levels. I am thinking a pair of PPI 900.4s to power the front stage. you dont need that much power on horns unless you plan to cause deafness. I dont think you're ready for a 3 way front stage, 2 way will be hard enough. maybe something along the lines of ported 8s or 10s in the doors and full body horns. maybe you can get 8s on axis enough to meet up with a full body horn. i've also seen the midbass driver in the kickpanel on axis.
  5. Sell the 1200 and buy a 1080. Problem solved I'd have to down size then which I odn't want to do. When I remodel the kitchen that'll be fine. or..... 4k everything
  6. The only real reason I want to stream my computer to the TV's is that I've ripped our kiddie DVD's to the PC. Then I can toss the DVD player as it is in the living room now and I don't like looking at stuff like that.I am the guy that hides all the cables, routes things nicely and tries to hide all electronics BESIDES speakers and the idiot box itself. you could probably hid something like the raspberry pi somewhere out of site. buying multi pi's for each tv probably isn't what you're looking for....
  7. I know...makes me want to start looking on newegg and tiger direct for the shit for a new desktop gaming rig that I would never have time to play... pcpartpicker.com brah
  8. nzxt doko, https://store.nzxt.com/products/doko-by-nzxt might interest you sean
  9. i dont like this pc talk. i start itching to upgrade. probably waiting for skylake
  10. i think they need to be the same resolution to duplicate the image. you could extend the image to one of them and then duplicate it to the rest. maybe
  11. amd (amd bought ati) is pretty solid now days. uninstall is simple.http://support.amd.com/en-us/kb-articles/Pages/GPU57RemoveOldGraphicsDrivers.aspx#Win7 AMD blows. Every system I have been involved with AMD has been a shit show. Especially for those who don't know how, like to, or want to troubleshoot. Eyefinity used to be an argument... Not anymore. Mantle is slipping in its power. And Sean could give zero fucks about either. Nvidia runs cooler and uses less power in almost every comparable part. AMD is totally fine for people who want to save a buck and don't mind troubleshooting, but it is not better and it is much less stable for most people. didn't say it was better. in fact i wouldn't even recommend an amd card to sean. personally i've had very few issues with amd.

  13. Perhaps I'm misunderstanding, but individual set point cutoff frequencies at your fingertips instead of using passive crossovers is EXACTLY what defines it being active. Sure, a sucks ass 5 band graphic eq can make the experience horrible or less than stellar is the wording I'd use, but I believe the dd has 13 which is OK along with a few Q points per band which gives it a sort of parametric "esque-ness" to it along with time alignment. I'm not saying any noob can make it sound good, but they do have enough there to make it possible. I'd much prefer to have a 32 band graphic+ or a 9 band parametric+ or even both, but I believe this is more than priced accordingly. If nitpicking how well of processing it has then eq's are much cheaper than a full dsp for running the active side of things. i agree with you. just dont want people to make the assumption that the other features aren't important. often you will hear folks assume that the xover on their amp is enough for example.
  14. so the x5700 doesn't have individual gain? you should also compare EQ. Xover on there own aren't enough for active
  15. probably not temps if its not failing under stress test. thats pretty freaking high for that card though.
  16. about to pull the trigger on the tritrix kit and a dayton dta 120. I think 40w per channel will be plenty for my apartment. i thought about running them active (just buying the drivers and enclosures) with minidps and a 4 channel amp but thats probably overkill. and more expensive.

  19. Did he fight only chumps? Either way, tough redneck there. wiki said he's rank 8th heavy weight.
  20. aruba was pretty sweet a couple years back. seemed like not that many people knew about it at the time. my parents look up tickets once in a while and the prices have multiplied.
  21. amazing goop works pretty well on sub surrounds, should work on your mid
  22. ppi 900.4 or any other amps built on the same board (polk, hertz, etc).
  23. interesting idea. no problems with boot time right now. Turn-on time from suspend is pretty much instant. would be an interesting option for a carpc though!
  24. have one, i'll have to take a look at how everything is wired up. between the minidc, a relay powering the tablet, and amp turn-on there's probably something i can do.
