  3. again, your current boxes suck and prefabs will be just as bad. if you dont like our advice then do whatever you want. you're welcome to waste your money however you like..
  4. quick search showed some possibilities. http://www.mazda3forums.com/showthread.php?t=259402
  5. there might be, is it the standard hu or an upgraded option?
  6. frequency response 40hz-22khz, lmao... i bet they're complete shit. what are you trying to do?
  7. i wouldn't bother with a prefab, practically as bad as what you using now. i would play around with the idea of external ports if you unwilling to actually build new boxes.
  8. Depends on what you need for crossovers. I'm running 3way + sub so its either the 4 way plugin with each minidsp running the left or right speakers exclusively. or the 2 way plugin with the minidsp running pairs of speaker (tweets and midrange on one, midbass sub on the other). I'm thinking it might be easier to use the two 2 way plug ins. You also get another set of 6 pEQ bands.

  16. I was not impressed with the MS8. Only way I could get it to approach decent sound was by disabling the auto tune (also happens to remove T/A, which sucks), and spending six months tweaking the settings. Ordered a minidsp, used the xo settings from the MS8 as a starting point, and after an hour everything sounded better--zero compromise. The auto tune on the MS8 in my install made the sound sterile, lifeless, and robbed me of my midbass. Tuning was an absolute bitching having to run through the setup wizard everytime you wanted to change a filter setting. Just my two cents. ever try the REW auto tune to compare against the ms8 auto tune? i'm guessing both are equally shit
  17. 2 minidsp 2x4's on the way! was going to wait a bit longer to order them but i'm itching for a new project. stephan or sean, what plugin do i need? (mind sending it to me so i can try it out on my macbook. the os is out of date so I'd like to see if it will still work)
  18. from the strange formatting it looks like it was copy and paste into the reply box. noob troll
  19. grab some cardboard and mock it up, very important step for a situation like this

  22. if an amp worked why not buy/make a portable amp. i'm not really thinking this through but slap a 9v to something like this http://www.ebay.com/itm/HIFI-2-0-Mini-Digital-Audio-Power-Amplifier-Module-2x10W-Class-D-AMP-DIY-12V-DC-/350779200719?_trksid=p3284.m263&_trkparms=algo%3DSIC%26its%3DI%26itu%3DUCI%252BIA%252BUA%252BFICS%252BUFI%26otn%3D21%26pmod%3D330918230861%26ps%3D54
