  1. Ok so after doing some homework and with the help of your posts I have some new ideas... It turns out the dash speaker are 3.5" and I do believe they tied to the 6.5" door speakers almost in a componet type setup.. I will admit I really have no idea how their wired factory but the wireing harness for my nissan is only wired for 4 speakers. So here is my idea I want to disconnect and remove the 3.5" dash speakers and the 6.5" door speakers. and like stefanhinote put a componet set in their place... I will have to run a speaker wire throught he door boot and up to through to the dash and i will also need a bracket to mout the tweeter but I think this is my best bet... I would take the advice and deaden the doors to avoid excess vibration.... So Im still not sure on what speakers to use I need a componet set that is good that is under 250, I like what people have to say about the cresendo speaker but Im not a bass head.. So any ideas would be great or if anyone thinks i can control the bass buy simply eqing the system thats fine too.. intrested to here what people think... thanks for helping this noob...lol
  2. Thanks for all the responses cant believe how fast you guys work here... Ok now that i have a basic understanding of active and passive.. I'm pretty sure I will be going Active because I do believe the headunit I purchased has crossover setting for both HPF / LPF... I think this will most likely save me some money too... here is a link to the headunit I bought... http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/Car/DVD-Receivers/AVH-X5500BHS... As for the speakers near the trunk I do NOT want to put subs in the car I use my trunk for kid stuff, but I would like the rear speakers to be able to handel just a little bass nothing over the top.. also in the begining I will not be amping the speakers I will rely only on the headunit for the time being untill i have more money... thanks for the advise guys and keep the comment coming i do appreachate all of them.,..
  3. lol this is why im here.. if anyone has ideas on how they would set up my car without a ubsurd cost feel free to post away..thx again

  5. Hello Crecendo Audio community I am looking to upgrade my speakers in my 2011 NIssan Altima S... I have already purchased a Pioneer AVH-X5500BHS Dvd Head unit and will be installing it soon.. Im pretty sure this unit will have enough settings to configure the speakers properly.. I believe the car has 6 speakers because it is a "S Model". I have read a few different websights on the accual size of the speakers and I believe they are as follows... Front Dash are 3.5"... Front door are 6.5" and the Back Top of Trunk are 6x9's (however I have hurd theyr will acomidate a 6.5" as well) Alot has changed with car adudio in the last 10 years and I'm more a computer and home theater geek but I love my music to sound good, clean and clear. I relly want to do this system the right way so with that said I have a bunch of questions before make my purchase... - Will the FT1 Super Tweeters fit in the dash of my car and if not can i purchase a bracket that allow it to? (also fell free to let me know if this is bad sonic location for these speaker they are located on the dash, in the corner near the windshield?) - I like the idea of useing the PWX 6.5" mid range speakers in the doors as long as I can use the super tweakers in the dash. let me know what you think? - As for 6x9s in the back I like the idea of useing a 6.5" here as long as they will fit, I also want something just a little more powerfull in the back that can handle a littl bit of bass.. would the CZ Series 6.5" 2 Way be a good choice here... Also if anyone with knowldege of proper installation and configuration of something like this plz feel free to post im not sure about crossover and also feel free to suggest any othe componets i may be missing.. as for an amp going to wait on that for a little while... thanks in advance and Iook forward to reading up on any suggetions an or comments...
