Is a single ICON 12 ported to the optimal specs loud?
Since I only have room for 1, thats what I would have to work with. Again, I have 1200 watts to feed it. Box can be up to 3 cubes externally measured. I can give dimensions later because I will need help designing the box.

I need a sub that will hit loud and low in an IB setup.
My trunk is to small to port my current subs.

Thank you. I was hoping that wasn't the case, but I guess shaking requires giving up my trunk space. No harm in hoping.

Thanks for the link. I may have to look around more. I need something that will shake my car more than what I have now. Current setup is 2 ED 13ov.2 in 2 cubes sealed.

My trunk is around 12.5 cubes. I can fit either 1 or 2 12's on the baffle board. 1200 watts RMS is what I'm working with. What do you guys think? Also, do these setups still hit low and loud?

A couple questions about Q15.
I really like this forum. You guys get back quick. I'm this close to ordering, only thing is I'm checking out the Havoc. Anyone know if it truly goes deeper like that one review said?

A couple questions about Q15.
I'm about to purchase one to go with my JBL 1200.1 Plan is to make a sealed enclosure. I have up to 3 cubes to work with and I see that Fi recommends 2-2.6 What size should I make it? I'm looking for deep and tight bass. I love low lows and when the sub just slams. Other question is weight. How much does a Q15 weigh? Last question is can I run the full 1200 watts to the Q15? thank you

Need 12" Sub Help. Replacing 2 13OV.2's
Plus the OOOOH factor of a 15. I've had almost ten 12's in my life. Sealed is probably best anyway since my 1200.1 does not have a subsonic filter. Now I'm just stuck choosing a 15.

Can the 12 be made to play as deep or deeper than the sealed 15?

Need 12" Sub Help. Replacing 2 13OV.2's
Question now is whats louder? Sealed Fi Q15 in 3cubes or Ported Fi Q12 in roughly 2 cubes. (Ported box would have to be smaller since it would have to be a simple rectangle).

Need 12" Sub Help. Replacing 2 13OV.2's
Rap and Rock. Deep, tight bass is what I love. SPL is great as long as its not boomy. I like have a headache from my system and haven't felt that since I lost my Brahma. I could build a sealed and ported box for the 15. Sealed first cause that may be enough. I just need to decide the 15. The Fi Q and Icon seem very similar. I have 1200 watts at my disposal so I'm sure I can feed either of them.

Need 12" Sub Help. Replacing 2 13OV.2's
I just ran out to the car and made several measurements. If I push all my spaces to the max, I can squeeze out 3.5cubes internal while still not losing any of my important space (can still fit groceries and get to spare tire. I could possibly fit a single 15 in there or a single 12 ported.

Thinking of a single 15
Just bought a dual 1 ohm Icon 15! Gonna wire it in series to feed it 1100 watts at 2 ohms from my amp. Thanks for the input and advice everybody! I may be following your footsteps. I'm about to measure my trunk. I will be going sealed though as I doubt I can afford more than 2.5 cubes. Fi Q and Icon 15 are top on my list.

Need 12" Sub Help. Replacing 2 13OV.2's
I have these 2 subs in a 2 cube sealed box. My amp is a JBL 1200.1 I'd like to keep this box as it uses my trunk space very well. Before these subs, I had an 12" Brahma in a 2 cubic foot vented box that aboslutely slaughter. Sadly it was stolen and by then Adire was long gone. Keeping my current sub and box, what pair of 12's would you all recommend? $250 each would be a reasonable max. Less is even better.
