  1. You seem a little all over the place with your goals with subwoofer (why not the Q?). As for the amp, you should definately take advantage of the Sundown sale on the saz1500d, it would be great to power one fully loaded bl or 2 ssd. Also, not many people will recommend getting a hifonics brutus series amp in these forums, though some beg to differ...Look around the ssa forums in the amp section and you can answer your own question on that one.
  2. nakamichi makes some really good stuff. you just have to try and find one...
  3. hey guys, i can't seem to find anyone selling digital batter voltage displayers for car sound systems on ebay. it will be necessary for my car since i will be running stockk electrical for a while until i can buy a h/o alt or battery. does anyone know where i can pick one up for cheap? my buddy has one of the later model pioneer head units which works really well (the one with the big knob that controls everything), and i would totally buy it, the only problem is that i'm putting the sound system in a 98' bmw 328i and the blue headunit looks a bit cheesy with the dark orange lights bmw uses for the cluster and buttons...can anyone help me?
  4. i've don't think anyone will have anything bad to say about cdt. they are a great sq brand.
  5. makes sense.
  6. i believe winisd is free and effective. i also downloaded bassbox pro but i don`t like it.
  7. i would like to know this one for myself
  8. i just hope it gets here before july 10th cause thats when i`ll have everything ready to install in my car. Then 2 weeks later i`m off to New Jersey for a bit so i want to be able to bang my system for a bit in my new(old) car or else it`s gonna be one long ass vacation for me .
  9. haha don't ask me why but i found that hilarious.
  10. search in the amp/hu/processors/electric section i made a tread on soundstream. turns out they are good amps.
  11. on smartass.bz the sundown saz1500d is posted at $659.00. On this site when i change the currency to Canadian dollars at the top of the web page it posts the saz1500d at 470$. I don't get why it would be more expensive in Canadian dollars, is'nt the Canadian dollar currently higher than the u.s. dollar? I'm really interested on getting my hands on the saz1500d, especially from ssa since I use your forums. I just don't think I'm willing to spend an extra 50$ on a product when there's no apparent reason for the extra charge.
  12. i'm just wondering...why are sundowns more expensive for canadian purchase?
  13. just wondering why the amp is 50$ extra canadian dollars PLUS 25$ shipping. lol can i send you guys 450$ american in an envelope, this way with the exchange rate i could save like 50$ .
  14. god damn it's taking long. i thought all shipping was ups...would i have known i would have paid the extra fee's. lol i do hope it gets here in one peice. thanks for the update! phil
  15. just wondering if there is a way i could tell the difference between the saz 1500d with the new heatsink design and the old. thx-phil
  16. i noticed the saz-1500d is 470$ in canadian dollars, does this include shipping as well?
  17. hey fi, i ordered a sub (bl 15) april 19th and still hav'nt received it. something's gotta be up with the shipping company, i've ordered stuff from china that only took 3 weeks. let me know what's up when you find out. thx -phil
  18. i think the point that is trying to be made is that yes you can feed the btl 500watts and might be a bit louder than the other fi subs....but why the f*ck would you do that when you could buy a Q. yes it will probably be less loud but it will sound a million times better cost a couple hundred bucks less and will weigh less too.
  19. a little off topic, but does anyone know if a sundown saz1500d could play for long periods of time wired at 1 ohm at 1500rms without overheating(say like 45 minutes staight)?

i believe if you wire it in parallel the actual figures are closer to .87 ohm and not 1.

i got dual 2 with universal which i did'nt know was already included lol. but thats ok cause that's what i wanted, i just thought i would be able to switch to 1 ohm with the universal option. the way i had it in my head was i was going to buy 1 bl15 and feed it with a sub that had 1500 rms at 2 ohms and if ever i got bored i would switch my amp over to 1 ohm and get another sub. i got a little reality check on this thread, and im glad i did before i bought my amp. i guess i read to fast and got excited, then forgot to read the part where it said i could switch to 1 ohm with universal by doing a recone.

wow i'm glad you guys clarified that for me, i honestly thought there was some magical way to switch from 2 ohms to 1ohm with the universal option. i'm glad i realized this now because i was going to make a huge mistake when buying my amp next week :s. as for the mocking part i guess we're just from different cultures or something because in my area when you say "you don't make sense" to somebody it's usually said in a way to belittle someone's intelligence. i guess i took it the wrong way.
