  1. the old base model btl 18" was $409 15" $379 12" $359 fullyloaded 18 was around $500
  2. i read on steve meads site that they where gonna be about the same as the price as the old btls with the 3mag added and that the 3mag op was gonna be taken off due to the size of the new one was as big or bigger then the 3 old ones so prob around the same price or close to the old fully loaded btls just a guess and from what i read not offical just thought i would toss that in lol i will be buying 2 when they come out cant wate heres a pic
  3. well i talked to dom today on the phone and he said that he could make me a 300amp alt that would be a direct bolt on so im just gonna go with him since he makes the biggest alt i can get
  4. yeah i hear ya on that one as well i like to over kill things as well then i think i will stick with the 4 i was gonna run the hc 1400 upfront and 3 in the back still undesided on weather or not i want the powermasters or the kinetic. but both would be a good choice from what i have seen and have been told. thanks for the help fellas.
  5. thanks for all the advice guys you all have been very helpful
  6. oh and also just fyi im looking in to getting either kinetik HC 2400's or powermaster D3100's and a HC 1400 upfront so #'s in that atrospect
  7. if so then how where they? of course as sundown site states the only place you should get them from is DB-r electronics i was just wondering if any one has ever tryed them and what was the condition of the amp if it was a refurb im just trying to see if i should go refurb and save some $$ that can be spent else where in the setup or should i just stick with buying the brand new amps
  8. pretty much like the topic says i just want some opinions how many batts should you run on 2 SAZ-3000d's with a 225amp alt ?
  9. which one do you think would be better? the hc 2400 or the d3100 i would think the power master since there a little cheaper and rated to put out more amps but i just want to get some other peoples opinion.
  10. i got the box finished today and tested it out with an old rockford punchZ 15" i had laying around and it sounds f'n awsome was shaking the pics on the wall in the house i cant wate to hear how the fi btl's will sound
  11. oh i know thats why im using fiberglass cloth not just the rez
  12. well i desided to fiberglass the whole inside of the box and add some 2x2 woodbracing on each side of the box right where the subs will mount and also add 2 pieces of all thread on each side of the port i think that will be plenty enuff bracing if this box fails on me after all that bracing glue fiber glass allthread screws and nails and silicone then i quit lol so far this is what it will look like when im done this is my bracing plan square dots are 2x2 wood and the round dots are the all thread + the whole box will be fiberglassed look sturdy enuff? lol
  13. one more thing just to get peoples opinion weather or not the box needs bracing. I have the box 90% compleat all i have to do is cut out the holes for the speakers and glue, screw, nail, and siclicone the bottom of the box its pretty much as compleat as it is in the sketches except for the speaker holes. The reason i dont have pics of the actual box is the cam i have sucks a big one and the pics are not worth crap.I had my girl stand on both sides of the box as well as the top where the port is on each side where the speaker would be mounted and bounce on it a little bit, As well as both of the long sides right in the middle where the port is she is about 120lbs and i also did the same thing im around 240lbs. both times i saw pretty much no flex what so ever in the mdf from any angle.i added the blocks of mdf on both sides of the port to support the middle. so im sure that once the bottom is secured on that will add event more support to the side that allready had no flex with me standing and bouncing on it. does this sound like its strong enuff?
  14. no just going for a very loud daily and just wanted to make sure i had a solid box so that it wont destroy it self with the btls lol i was wondering also i saw a post but i cant seem to find it again talking about some kind of metal rod or something like that, that could be used for bracing and bought at home depot or would it be better to use wood to brace it. or would the port braced on both sides like in the pic without the corner braces be enuff since it is right in the middle and would add support to both of the longest pieces of mdf right in the middle of them and also provide support to the top where the speakers will be mounted?

  16. my question is im trying to make a box for 2 18" btls dimentions are 49"L x 24"T x 27"D here are some rough sketches from paint how should i go about bracing it i know that i need to(or do i?) since im planing on running them on 2 SAZ-3000D and i will doublebaffle the top where the speakers will be mounted would simply corner bracing like in this pic be enuff and also placing a small block of mdf on 1 or both sides of the port to support the middle of the box
  17. lol yeah he replyed pretty quick to my posts, almost right after i posted them. oh and one more question wile im thinking about it! you said at idol my alt would be running less amps.Which i was awear of allready but the question is would more batts solve the gas pedel at idol prob. Or should i not event worrie about it and just run 5?
  18. Yea but if your gonna invest this much into a system might as well do it right the first time. That way you dont have to go back later to fix prior mistakes k nate at EA said that a 225amp is the biggest he can make me for a direct bolt on so im gonna go with that and 5 powermaster d3100 in back and 1 yellowtop up front that should be good for 2 SAZ-3000D right? IMO you have it done well... the only problem i see is that at idol... your alt will only be putting out like 90 amps.... but with that many cells you should be able to stand and show off for a few mins.. but u may have to keep a foot on the fuel pedel thanks big john you have been a great help so then its set welp one more month and ill be getting my loan from the bank and ordering all my stuff at once once i get it all setup ill be sure to post some pics

  20. wat can be wrong with getting a TA92001.....i know now that soundstream amps are not the best... but why not mtx amps...i mean i could go for the SAZ-3000D but why spend onther 300 bucks for it when i could get that mtx amp for 825? well because that SAZ-3000D is the chit!!! thats why and if you look at other amps putting out that kinda power there mostly more $$

  22. thanks for the advice
  23. well how many should i run? i have seen people with less watts running more batts then im planing on running but i also have 8 kicker 6x9s and 4 kicker tweets that i will be running to 4 more 200watt amps so alltogether about 7000w total. are you gonna do spl or just street beater? im going for an insainly loud daily. I don't plan as of yet to enter any comps with it lol. but you never know.

  25. humm well in that case would a 200 amp or be good enuff for 2 SAZ-3000D with a yellow top under the hood and 4 powermaster D3100 in the back ? or should i look into finding someone that can mod my bracket
