I can either pick up this amp or a local guy selling his Orion HCCA d2400 barely used for $200. Is the Orion a better option?

Forgot to mention it will be a D2 so I can run 1ohm load on the amp.

Gonna buy a single 10" or 12" X or Icon, which ever pops up in the classifieds first. Will be in a .8-9 cuft fiberglass box sealed, polyfilled 1-2lb iirc. This is an under seat setup for a 4 door dodge pickup. I've seen the black ice has been proving a decent amp for the money. Just want to get any last opinions or reasons to not get it and go with something else. I don't want to spend more than $200-250 on an amp at the moment. Thanks!

Guess I'm going to go ahead and order the Precision Power 1300.1 unless anyone suggest something else in a similar price range.

I'm at the airport leaving town right now, using my phone for internet which is a PITA. Is there a good place on here to read about fiberglass boxes? I can fiberglass pretty good, jw about how thick it should be. Or any other pointers.

Thanks for the feedback, seems to be the general consensus about them. I think im just going to keep an eye out in the classifieds for a good deal on a sub. And the Amp is only $180 new IIRC.

Ive been eyeballing the Precision Power PPI 1300.1 and 1800.1 depending on which Series sub i end up with(X, G, I). Seems to be a decent amp for the price from what i read on this forum. Its not a Sundown or what not, but would this be a good enough amp for one of these subs?

Ill probably end up raising the seat a little bit like you did. I would probably never know the difderence between the 10" and 12", I would just hear boom boom boom. Lol

I will be making a fiberglass box under the seat, so i should see at the very least .8cuft, most likely closer to 1cuft not including woofer displacement. Ill have to measure airspace after i finish it. Looks like ill go with a 10" ICON or XCON, probably the D2 so i can run 1ohm at the amp right?Just have to find an amp that wont break the bank lol

Looks like the max depth i can get is right at 9" The ICON/XCON 10" mounting depth is 6.5" and recommends a .75cuft sealed box so that would work perfect. The 12" is the same depth but needs 1.25cuft. I have enough airspace under my back seat for 2 10's. Would yall agree i should get a single 10" for now, that way i have enough airspace to add a second one later on? That or go with a 12", use up all the airspace, and call it quits.

That's what I was trying to say. They sell for $130 so its hard not to try them out. My other options in my prica range would be rockford p3, 300w incriminators, 500w sundown, 300w SSA, or Alpint type R. Geez the options...
