cut-through or wall
i WISH I COULD LoL I have an install in mind and have been emailing with a few manufacturers regarding it... but as I said a while ago, the Trailblazer is done. I dont really want to put a wall in the notch, but I can get what I need out of it. this idea is just fodder, or day dreams at the moment... I figure as much as the newbs ramble on about "i might do this, I wanna do this, could I do this"... I figured I could put one up! Bastage

cut-through or wall
This is in off topic because this is just a entertaining thought, no real plans to follow through.... yet. I use the TBlazer too much to take up the cargo room. I don't want to add weight to the Mustang. So what about picking up a small (Ranger / S-10) beater pickup for competition? I'm thinking: Extended cab 2 door for a wall (figure 10-12cubes gross) Extended cab 2 door for a blowthrough (fill the bed with vB and have 2-4 woofers & port in the ext cab area) Reg. cab with cut trough (think XXX truck on RofE) Any opinions? Discuss -Nick

It's very easy to make it all removable. I had a 5.0ft net box & a rack for two 2500D's & 2 batts in there and had ~7"s between them & the tailgate. As far as the HU, extend a 14-16ga +, -, rem lead from the amp's location and short run of RCA's under the drvr rear panel and out through the a.) gas cap b.) trailer wiring hole [left of center above the step of the rear bumper]. Simply plug in the HU at the rear and burp, or whatever. Put a small amperage switch inline on the 'daily' HU to kill it's remote lead. -Nick

BTW, that only applies to a NON ext version.

iirc (best i can do atm)Cargo area: Windowline height: 17" (side) 19" (rear) Rear seat shoudler levvel (not counting headrest:: 21" From rear seat bottom to tailgate: 33" Rear seat top to tailgate: 31" Width wheel well to wheel well: 47-48" Wall to wall width: 52-53" At one point I had a 14 cube box in there that was below the window line and slid right in / out. The storage compartment on the psgr side is ~0.16 cubes, the storage compartment on the drvr side is just about perfect for a pair of CDT Satnet 468 xovers & wiring. The storage bin in the middle of the floor is Just Perfect for an Orion 8002 / 8004 with 4ga wiring (grounded on the psgr side wall of that little bin). 46-49 hz pwns. $0.02 -Nick

I've heard their 8 inchers are wonderful performers and a bargain at the price. I think the Next 10" I picked up is a better deal though. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yup Yup, so I've heard. BTW - the CDT EF8 is a beefy looking little thing. I just picked it up from the Post Office. Damned beefy for $65. Pics & chit when I get home. I don't think I like the "CF" Cone though. meh

Are You going for competitive SQ or Your own tastes? Obviously, this aint my forte', but I've done some reading as well over the past few months. From what I understand, TA < beaming + freq rolloff. Other then that, I'll venture to say that because it's a reg. cab truck You will be facing some issues with reflections from the rear wall / glass. This may kill you in misdirection & cancellation. Are You going to stick with 1 component set (mid & tweet) & 1 pair subbass (behind seats)? Or are You still working on the center console project? -Nick
