  1. does kicker have good front stage equipment?
  2. clipping does make a "popping" sound. but i have also heard that noise before with one of my old setups and it turned out there was a tiny hole in the rubber surround. only as big as maybe a pen point but it was enough to scare the f... out of me

^ that's not what happened. either 1.) you ran the amp into clipping one too many times ..... or 2.) did you run tests to see if it's the amp with the problems?
  4. from who?
  5. what made you quickly say "nevermind" just after ordering that sub?
  6. i'd use a larger gauge wire for that amp. maybe 4?
  7. I'm in the market for a webcam. Was thinking about http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/webcam_c...80&cl=us,en Any input?
  8. ^^^ agreed. Bracing for 1.8-2.5 cuft? Not necessary
  9. I have a Q18 in 8cuft sealed and it isnt sloppy at all
  10. What? Above your garage? Somehow do you have a doorway leading to there or everytime you have to take a piss you have to climb up and down a foldable ladder...
  11. I don't know if this is much help, but I have a Q18 in an 8cuft sealed enclosure for my home audio system and I have to say I've never heard a more crisp subwoofer. Soon I will port it to see how it sounds that way Not like I have a whole lot of experience but I like the Q
  12. Nice elaboration I stand corrected.
  13. Under the EXACT same conditions, most likely the sensitivity of each sub will tell you which will get louder. I'm too lazy to pick up the links but look at the specs for both and the db number for the 1w/1m is its sensitivity.
  14. I understand a basic sound build. I'm not talking about that. Steve is basically rebuilding the car, that requires a lot of experience, skills, knowledge, and patience lol. And I'm guessing that "chicken" isn't helping him. If he was I wouldn't have said anything. But no friend would say "here's my car, let me know when your done" Am I making sense?

Do it. You wont regret it.
  16. I can't imagine you would work on your friends car without having him give you something in return. Is he paying you to do all this work for him? A year+ work wasn't done because you had nothing else better to do...
  17. Wow, is all I got to say. I'd pay you so much to do that to my truck...
  18. I have great respect for you bigjon.
  19. You should have shown them your awesome backpack speakers to show that you are a true and professional audiophile. :lol2::lol2::lol2:
