think ive finally got my system planned out should have money to buy within the next few months, here it is idctx65cs cadence fxa-4060 200.2 bridged cadence fxa-1700 700.1 which sub would give me the best blend of sq and output off of 700w?

what are your thoughts on these amp?

if i wanted to have a 6.5" dedicated midbass in the stock door location could i also put the midrange speaker in the door? or would having them both in sealed door mess up the sound

awesome.. yeah this cold weather sucks.. ive got two rolls off raamat for my blazer but its too cold to put it in.. think im gunna get the stereo for my tahoe first then the blazer.. got an old set of boston acoustic comps for the tahoe, just need a cd player and amp now.. its gunna be my winter vehicle so i shouldnt need anything more than a set of comps in it..

so ur running active, how does it sound with no sub? You can tell something is missing but I never had a heavy bottom octave in this car. Just something to blend in with the rest of the music. The MLI's do really well to 45~50hz. Wether you will like listening without a subwoofer really depends on your listening tastes and the work you are going to do on the doors (you can't expect solid mibass with stock doors). Even so, I would start working on the front stage first and leave the sub on the last part of the install. i plan on using a baffle and i have 2 rolls of raamat

Just the front stage. Mach5 MLI's on 75w each + Seas neo textiles. Sorry for not beeing detailed in my first response. so ur running active, how does it sound with no sub?

with no sub amp what are u running now?

i dont even have one speaker in my tahoe.. was gunna sell it so i took out the boston comps and the cd player quit working so it has no tunes

To the op: They would take more power than that but should still sound good on that amount of power. i figured id just buy a small budget amp for now.. how much power u think they could handle running full range?

is anyone running just a set of comps? gunna be quite awhile before i can get subs, how do u think an id ctx65cs comps set off of 65w sound?

Actually first an Rlp, and then the IXL. If I change vehicles though I will be using an Icon. i thought u had said something about running an Icon... read another thread about some people from hear meeting up in IL next month, is there any new news on that? i posted in that tread but havent heard anything back

here is the last message he sent me: I gurantee it. We actually had a head to head with the ICON (1000 rms) and the Classic (500 rms). The guy who did the test ran the Classic at 2 ohm and ICON at 1 ohm on a memphis 1100d. The Classic was louder in a sealed box sounded better and in ported the ICON was .2 louder and they sounded the same. That is with our entry level, you bump up to the new Sonance and it is going to be nice
