ya im definitely gonna go larger and stick to a ported box, i didnt build this one but ill use it until i come up with something ive had a 15" kicker L7 in a 5.5cubic foot box so space is no problem lol does everyone stick to what the website recommends or has anyone experimented with bigger boxes or anything?

got a Mach 5 Audio 15" IXL with a TMA T1000.1(made by JL) side by side shot with a 15" RE SX loving it so far:D gonna build a different box down the road, suggestions? this one is 2cubes@28htz(i think) vids to come, anyway to get a mach 5 decal for the dustcap??

well it lasted for a few months and bumped pretty well, some people where shocked when i showed them the sub haha its dead now

if it doesnt work i lost $8.99 that i spent on the JB weld lol i have alittle JB weld left so i might toss another coat on tonight, also jsut grabbed a new setup....... just a small one this time lol MTX 6001, 600rms@2ohm(i think thats the model #) 10" type R(newer one) ohh and i dont have that other RL-i, its in a buddies car pumping away still... i wanted to tune abit lower but i built the box out of scrap mdf so i was limited with what i could of done..... video tommorow!! lol

that halfway through picture was when i first noticed it and i know how to setup a stereo system and listen for things etc, when i saw that the cone started to fuck up i tossed JB weld on it, didnt wait the 15hrs cure time adn didnt care if it blew thats why it got so mangled ive ran my old hifonics bx1000D@1ohm for 1000rms on a single kicker CVR, single visonik, bunch of other single lower end subs then the SS and they all still work today except the visonik as that got water damage and all rusty from a leaking winter beater trunk

not worth the cash to get it reconed IMO i had 2 in a sealed box with a Hifonics BXi1606D, guess the 2 didnt get along lol this is what they looked like when i first noticed it was cracking i removed the messed up sub and tossed a thin coat of JB weld on it then put it back in a box and then thats when it got ripped to shit lol

yes fibreglass.... NOW before u say it will dry way to hard etc etc the cone of my sub is aluminum i think, its painted but i sanded a small part and its shiny under so im thinking of trying to fix the HUGE crack with fibrglass this isnt my first time with glass so i know how to use it and prep ur piece etc, u think it will hold? damage pic now that was taken after i first heard my sub sounded wierd, this is after i straightened it abit(could probably get it better) i should say this would be a TEMP thing, i jsut sold my last setup and want something to bump until i find something to buy

isnt really any port noise, i wanted to go with a slot port but i could only go 34"s wide and i couldnt get the box tuned above 27hz with hte dimensions i had to work with unless i had the subs firing intothe sky or something... i mgiht try a different box down the road and see how it sounds

build has started! ports are 4.5" OD and 4" ID... 5.66cubes@35Hz subs with some of my 8gauge "speaker" wire lol i hope it fits! had issues getting it into the car so i had to shave the corners of the box for some extra clearance this is where i had my issues with fitment can kind of see the Hifonics BXi1606D thats running them and a little video, for some reason it doesnt look like they move that much with this song :S ill try another 1 later.... rear deck bounces around like crazy, front dash defroster vent bounces, cds fall out of my sunvisor, anything sitting on the front bench seat ends up on the floor haha ohh and it rattles like a bitch! lol gonna see if i can tighten the tailights, put some foam on back of plate etc etc and i stumbled across this in my apartment today, tottaly forgot i had it...install tommorow

i emailed mike earlier, doesnt seem like it will be worth it to send it in as its gonna cost close to $200... no warrenty i guess anyone wanna buy the one on the left? was told it was 6 months old when i got so its about 8months old now...im waiting on the original buyer to find his reciept for it... 4ohm DVC

ya i didnt turn it up loud, one my way to work i started to turn it up and noticed it didnt sound right so i pulled over and saw teh crack lol had the volume at like 5 to hear and i jsut cringed at teh noise it made, turned the subs off on my deck and went to work sad haha

^u are correct lol should look like the 1 on the left..well except for teh different color as the 1 on the left is the newer one and im guessing they changed teh cone design abit, im told the glue let go on the one, cone seperated from the ,formers(spiders) im talking to the previous owner and hes going to try and find the receipt for me

not to impressed right now lol still works but sounds HORRIBLE, the 1 on the left is a few months old and the other is like 7-8months old...anyone know if Mike would do anything for warrenty? im hoping the guy i bought them from has a receipt or im probably SOL also anyone find it odd that only 1 sub is screwed? there wired together @1ohm so you would think both would look the same

taking care of this problem.... MA amp is now sold, picking up my new amp in about a hours time might kill my stock electrical system though as it has 2 70 amp fuses on it, well almost stock i have the BIG 3 done lol

i probably wont go above 36hz, my last setup was tuned to 39hz and it got fairly loud and read decent on the termlab but i wanna try tuning lower to see how the lows will hit... i listen to mostly hiphop has anyone used the box making program on the RE site? if so is it accurate? how does this look?

ya i have a feeling the amp is playing a part in it aswell, i got it for cheap when my hifonics went to chit so i grabbed it as i needed some bass

going into a 96 lumina(car, not the van) right now im running a MA audio amp that is supposed to do 1200rms but im guessing it does more around 1000rms.... im hoping to fix my hifonics BX1500D and using that in the near future as u can see LOTS of room in the turnk what should i tune it to? i was thinking around 30?
