Hay, subs should never be powered by an amp that puts out the subs rated power, should always give it at least double Hmmm well i recon i may go for a bit less power then, make it 2000wrms Altho even thats under rated We shall she what happens then

Thanks for the replies guys Yes i mean the 15"D2. Reasons, for running that much power ? Well, i am mad is the main reason, and i want it LOUDD ! This is purely dailydriving streetbass setup. There will be more than one driver in the whole install, but each will recieve this same amount of power. As i say it will be set up correctly, so i hope i will not blow or get any failers The amps will be running at 1 ohms, 2ohms to begin with, ( till i can afford more amps ). Will it take the abuse o.k ?

Hello guys, first thread on here Was just wondering, how do you think a D2 will take 2500wrms, on a daily BASSis, i.e streetbass, daily listening, i can't see it being a problem just playing music nicely, but what about when i crank it ? The whole system will be scoped, so it will be getting a purely clean signal, will be ported, about 4cuft, then port displacement, so say even 3 cuft ? I have seen this thing take 1700wrm quite nicely, but what about over quite a period of time ? i mean i know how to treat a sub, i know how they work and how to set a system up. So what you recon ? Go for it ? Also, can they be reconed ? or will i have to buy a new one ? Thanks in advance, ohh and -Max-, if you read this, you should'nt be worried dude you should be chitting yourself
