    Wow! Sounds like my old boss when I worked out the Twin Cities, back in the day. He was one of the first to achieve MECP Master, yet he seemed to know so little about what he did for a living. I used to listen to this boss of mine and take it to heart, until he started to contradict what I had learned was common knowledge among the industry, even a MECP Basic tech should have known better than him. Luckily, I'm pretty advanced in my field and decided it was time to do my own thing. He didn't like this, and fought for months to find a way to get rid of me until one day he did! Now I make almost four times what I used to, and I work among people who know can build boxes around that guy Anyway, your boss sounds like he may be better off keeping out of cars.. I bet he makes a ton of cold solder joints and forgets to tape them up
