Just curious if anyone on these forums listened to metal, and what kind of setup they had... Ive kinda been drawn away from spl and more towards sq. i would almost assume that a sq setup would suit my needs more than a spl setup, considering the type of music i listen to. Dont get me wrong, i listen to a select amount of rap, but, the majority is going to be metal... So i guess im looking for some conformation on this situation.. much appreciated
  4. i guess thats what i needed to know..
  5. The boston G5's are amazing sq woofers. Close to the top of my list overall, this is coming from a bass head. couple questions... what are you running with now? with only 450rms, how loud do these things get..i know its a sq woofer but, im just curious..
  6. whats everyone think of these woofers???
  7. back to what i said about hifonics....who makes the most efficient amp (brand)....i know this is an opinionated question, but, im sure theres at least a few people on here that would agree on one....
  8. ...........so after reading, i gathered that there should be an iso between the front and rear, and none in between the back batts......
  9. good chit, all the helps much appreciated...
  10. couple more questions... whats the easiest way to enclose the extra batteries? what types of iso have a control wire to the ignition...?
  11. gotcha..
  12. this is what ive been told, ive heard around 10%
  13. uhh to be safe.... also, with those two kinetiks being different models wont they end up discharging one another...
  14. i dont promote issolators what kinda 3500 watt amp are you talkin you dont promote them? but i NEED them..??????? disregard, i didnt realize two different people posted on here.......
  15. i dont promote issolators what kinda 3500 watt amp are you talkin you dont promote them? but i NEED them..???????
  16. the suggestions you posted are just the batteries for the back, correct?
  17. lets just make it an even f'n 4000w....2 hifonics bxi2008d.......pushin two 12 orion hcca im sure someone will jump on here and recommend another amp, but, those amps are reasonably priced and have relativley high output...so lets just stick with these two amps for now.... if anyone can find 2 other amps for the same price but better, i will be more than happy to change my mind.. btw they're priced at $340 as of now...
  18. with 3500w, 200a alty, and a yellow top under the hood, what size would one suggest for the kinetik in the back.... or how many.... also with this question, how big of an isolator will i need? much appreciated
  19. and uhh where did u find yours at...the 205 is 900 on crutch and everywhere else ive looked....
  20. ill check it out... you know anything of wiring another HU and havin both operational??
  21. Ok, i guess i didnt hint enough that i DIDNT want to spend a g for a HU and even more for the processor.... I would like some input based on my first post, if anyone has any that would be great.
  22. Its not i "want" a single din, its the fact that most all double din HU (that will fill up space) dont have the same capabilities -as far as EQ goes- as single din HU's, without paying a g or so for them. I know alpine has some great double din HU's but the ones ive found, youd also are going to need a processor...
  23. Heres the deal. Ive got a 08 explorer and in this thing is a huge ass nav screen. I want an aftermarket HU (pioneer type) obvioulsy for the EQ options, . I thought of tearing out the nav screen and replacing it with the aftermarket, but, most pioneers (moderately priced up 500$) are single din. Which in turn would leave me with an ass ton of space. Two questions/two scenarios. 1.) If i were to rip out the nav screen is there anything i could get to take up the extra space. Ive looked for adapters and such, but, nothin.2.) If i were to keep the nav screen in and mount my HU somewhere else, how would i wire them so both are functioning? I would like them functioning considering it would be kinda ridiculous having a huge black screen. It would be greatly appreciated for some feedback, that is, if this is possible... Here is a pic of my dash... http://www.fordvehicles.com/suvs/explorer/gallery/ ..Mind you its being made right now, Im out of town.. and for example a pio-9800 for the HU

I dont plan on playin my system when im not driving. Thats why i was going with the 400a. Im also going to want to upgrade and didnt want to have to dish out more for another alty. As for the HU its cost efficient, touch screen, dvd, usb got most all things that i wanted... ive looked at orions hccas....im leaning toward mach 5 ixl series..ive got boston acoustic pro50 for comps....and sundown100.2 runnin them i have a tendency to change my mind a fudge ton....so, im still searching tryin to get some input...
