The magnet is 11.25" so it will fit just fine.

The bracing will change tuning because it occupies airspace. It can be done a lot of ways, wooden dowels, window bracing, and threaded rods are the most common. Check your enclosure with this calculator, as it used the correct formulas and is right if the vent has a bend in it, the RE Calculator does not calculate port bends correctly.

Lowering the SSF could have made them unload. Because it is an SQ driver with very LOW excursion abilities.
