Unless you are going to be competing in sound quality don't get the Q, you sound like a BL buyer to me.

You do realize that true enthusiasts make up a minute percentage of the audio market, correct? The vast majority are ignorant and could care less. Yes, sadly you speak the truth

About configure the speaker.
Hey there buddy, Mike (95Honda) is right, the BTL will be the loudest and we already know that. Because it had higher efficiency.

Chevy Xcab door pods
Nice lookin' pods Sorry for the thread jack, but I want to do some for my car. I have my tweeters glassed in the sails of my doors, but I want to show off my mids too! I just can't figure out how to mold my doors and attach the pods to them. They look like this:

Welcome to the IHoP
I was talking to a kid at school about sound systems yesterday, he showed me his. He had 2 10" Wal-Mart Pioneers (the blue ones) and a 12" Pioneer in the same box. The enclosure was pretty simple, ports and sub firing up in an Eclipse, I asked him what it was tuned to, "What?" what is it tuned to, you know, in hertz? "Uhh I don't know..." Hmm that's not very smart, you need more port area you know. "What's that?" Port area is the area of your port in square inches. "Oh the holes need to be bigger? Okay". He was powering them with some BOSS amp I believe. Cheap mexicans that buy shitty equipment and don't put shit together = FAIL End of rant

Wire it to 8 ohms, it should be about 250 watts.

amp too powerful for sub?
Just cause you got the DVC model doesn't mean it will handle twice the power. The DVC is for wiring options. Did you think of wiring it differently?

How do I get that? Google Does anyone have a legitimate copy? How is it possible to not find it Googling. The first 5 hits when I did it were download sites. I found it, I just want to make sure someone has gotten a legitimate copy. I don't want spyware or viruses.

You use an in-line fuse holder for it, and a 200 amp fuse.

FI Q12" Box help
A general rule of thumb is 12-16 sq. in. of port area per cubic foot.

FI Q12" Box help
The BTL's are by no means SPL only subs. I'm not sure I understand your question about the port area though.

Blown sub
You are feeding a 400 watts rated sub a clipped 1250 watts? I'm not surprised you blew it.
