I use cheap banana plugs that you crimp.

The way I have always done it is banana plugs.

The surrouund on both is foam. It doesn't matter. The ICON's are meant to be low end monsters. While the Havoc, which is still a monster, is slightly more output oriented. Both woofers are made by great companies here in the USA. An SAZ-3000D is pushing the mechanical and thermal limits of both woofers. But I feel the ICON would take the power better and meet your expectations.
