  1. How much should I raise my budget? I am only getting one pair I want to buy some raamat as well so I really dont want to raise my budget. What about PGs 6.5?
  2. Depending 100% on the amp that might not be a good deal... Depending on the box too. That most likely is not a good deal.
  3. I have a 15 inch Fi SSD with a bout 800 watts going to it. I want to get some front 6.5 components that will be able to keep up with it. I have a kicker 150.2 amp so that should be able to do about 100 watts x 2. Budget around 100 dollars but I will go higher or lower if its worth it.
  4. I just finished my setup on around the same budget (spent a little more then your budget and am still going to add components but yeah..) For your budget id go with 1 15, most bang for the buck. Here are a few sub amp combo's id look at if I were you I have a 15 inch SSD with copper coils $214 shipped Diamond Audio D3 800.1 Cost me $175 shipped or a Kicker 750.1 (You will need to get a dual 1 sub then but I assume you know what your doing when it comes to car audio) probably can find one of them on ebay for around $175 maybe less, I have seen them go as low as $150 on caraudio.com $100 for a decent head unit with pre amp outputs (I have a JVC HDR1 with HD radio built in, paid $115) That puts you at $489 then you figure the rest of the budget can go towards wood and stuff to build your box. EDIT: Do you have wire?
  5. I have a DMM so I am testing it that way. I think that way might be a little more accurate. What kind of test tone should I use
  6. It works!!!! Thank you so much. Wow this thing is loud and sounds great too! I am only sending 600 watts to it right now too. I am going to jack up the gains later tonight after I break it in a bit (Is this even necessary?)
  7. Oh that will work? I have 10 gauge wire so that should be plenty big. So just run two runs to each terminal?
  8. I had to order a second set of box terminals so I am going to have to wait a bit to try it out
  9. Thanks guys. I am coming here from now on if I need help you guys all know your stuff
  10. Lol yeah my bad im not that stupid. So I can just add another set of terminals to my box then run wire from positive 1 and negitive 1 to one set of terminals Then run another set to positive 2 and negitive 2 of the second set of terminals. Then wire terminal one and two to my amp since it has 2 positive and two negitive outputs.
  11. My amp is monoblock but it does have to sets of inputs. I can add another set of terminals from my box and run two differnt sets?
  12. I appreciate it guys. You probably saved me from doing a lot of unnecessary things
  13. 1 dual 2 15 inch SSD. Trying to obtain a 1 ohm final load
  14. One more question actually. Is it ok to use smaller gauge wire to wire the + to the +? I am using 10 gauge now and dont think ill be able to fit two strands of 10 gauge in there
  15. Yup I wired it wrong I guess I did not wire it according to that diagram. I found another one that I guess was wrong. Going to try it now! Thanks a lot guys I did not have the two + and -s connected
  16. I am thinking about selling my sub, amp, box and my stupid ass head unit moving to lancaster and becoming amish. Jk I dont give up and will get this to work but I am at a loss for what to do next right now
  17. Diamond Audio D3 800.1 Can do 800 watts at 1 ohm. I had it wired up to a CVR at 4 ohm and it worked fine, I changed the power wire and ground point if that matters but the light still comes on.
  18. No clue why. I am getting a voltage reading that is about right coming out of my amp when I use the dmm on it so a bad ground cant be the problem right? I am almost positive its wired right, 1 wire on the + on the right side 1 wire on the - of the left. What could it be?
  19. I dont know if you need to go that far. Just be careful and make sure you know what your doing before you try something
  20. The sundown can power two subs yes The Saz 15000D? Cuz it only 1500 x 1. Im confused explain how many RMS it would get per channell if 2 were connected to it. You can hook two subs up to a mono amp.... you really need to do some more research
  21. The sundown can power two subs yes
  22. It really depends how bad he wants 2 subs but if you go with 2 plan on dropping at LEAST another 500 on electrical work
  23. Id have to agree With your budget you can build a nice top firing box for 1 15 inch, a Kicker 1000.1 amp for around 250-300 dollars Then you can get some front components and get an amp to power them as well. If you get 2 15s your going to need to give them each about 1000 watts then you might need to start upgrading electrical things and that can get very pricey. You might be able to get away with 2 Qs on about 1500 watts with no electrical work but then you wont have much room for component speakers
  24. Id go with this one right here while its on sale. And I think you should get 2 Qs http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/zencart...f57df48fa98b1e2
  25. Your willing to make a big top firing box though right? Its going to need to be a lot bigger then that box there lol
