Mofsets are laid down flat and don't use spring clips. symmetrical board layout. I dont know a whole lot about them.

perfect. See i would have just done fiberglass thinking it was enough. Bracing it is. Your box turned out fantastic by the way.

So will wooden bracing be necessary if I glass the whole box with 10 ounce fiberglass? maybe glass in some thick wooden dowel rods? Instead of conventionally wrapping the box in carpet or painting Im going to lay carbon fiber on the baffle. and then wrap the rest of the box with carpet. should turn out nice.

This time I am going to be firing forward into the cabin. Kind of a semi seal off from the trunk. the X's will be on a Q1-3500D.1 which does 4,300 watts at one ohm (14.4). So something like 2k per woofer. I might have to drop to 38.5 inches wide in order to fire into the cabin, fit between the strut towers and get right up against the rear seat-backs.we can discuss that if need be, I may already be short on room but that is something you can tell me.

5 and a half is .25 cubes over the recomended size. I could go to five cubes and be within suggested size.

well i wanted to stay at 15's but it seemed like there wasnt room. I dont need to do 6 and a half cubes, but I cold if I needed to. How about 5.5 cubes with a huge port.

A fully loaded BL would put up with the power better than a fully loaded Q? why? how do their motors compare.

Hello everyone, Im looking for some input on new woofers. Looking to do two 12's in 6.5 cubes, ported to 29 hrz.(havnt designed yet) I am stuck between FI Q's and BL's I understand that its not entirely fair to compare specs of subs as there are many variables involved, but how does the BL's motor compare to the Q's? The Q having 28mm of Xmax and the BL having 19mm xmax. Is the BL's motor just much more powerfull? What are the real world diffrences and which one is better for my application? Amp is: 4,000 watts rms(1ohm). they will be wired down to one ohm
