140's is probably the loudest you'll hear from someone on the street running something like 2kw daily IMO. rap hits around 30 - 40 hz and some songs jump to low 50 hz.

they are awaiting the new dust caps... shouldnt be long ... them things look AMAZING!!!! thinking of switching out until the new 22" BTLS come out and i rebuild. ill assure u they will be loud and sound sick as well... there is a build log for 2 xcon 18s in the build section check it out ive seen it good deal.. if your gonna get them buy quick there is tons of people in line Should be sometime next week we'll starting taking orders. 18's will be $399 + shipping wow. not a bad price. whats the specs on these as far as xmax and RMS etc.

not true. the Q sounds SOO much better then the BL. if he listens to bass cds and alot of rap, and isnt burping, then he doesnt need a BL. if he wanted a BL then he wouldve gotten a BL, nto com in here asking which would sound better. The Q is gonna play what he wants, be almost as loud and sound SOOOO much better doing it. and he said he wanted it loud but to sound good at the same time. Q>BL

i sold the Z1 ALONG TIME AGO i wish i wouldve never sold it now. how i miss it. ill have a Z2LV soon though. as well as some 22" BTL's or Level 5 18's. whichever i decide to do.

all in all this set-up is probably gonna get taken out soon depending on how much i like the sound. i know what not to do now when building a wall so the next one should be plenty better. all in all though, im gonna have a port braced with 2x4's as well as like 6 braces inside the box from various other points. if this thing flexxes id be quite surprised.

if i feel the need to double everything up after the initial testing, then i sure will do. even if i gotta do it the morning before i leave for Daytona.

even with 16 foot worth of 2x4's in it?? was planning on it but im running outta time. if i have to all thread it i will. but i dont really have the time or space to double baffle EVERYTHING. i might just do a flush mount but IDK.

paid for my 18's yesterday. got 2 on the way and they're gonna be in 15 - 17 cubes tuned @ 35 hz with 260 square inches of port. powered by 2 DD M80s strapped @ 2 ohms

plan was for 3 18's but i accidentally cut my baffle to short :rollseyes: so i just decided to go with 2. Power will come from either a US Amps XT4000D @ 2 ohms, or 2 DD M80's Strapped @ 2 ohms. has 225 amp alt and 1/0 big three. and big 3 throughout the truck. going to switch subs out if i dont like them to much for something else ... we'll see what the ones i got on the way do
