  1. Hey guys first off sorry about the MIA but back now and the build is complete! (for now).. Picked up the box today and just screwed the sub in with T nuts wired it in and was ready to go. Unfortunately I rushed and pierced the surround when screwing in the last screw but it is a small whole and I have not noticed any defects or air passing. Should I seal it with something, get it fixed, or is it something to not worry at all about? I will upload a bunch more pics and a video tomorrow but for now I will just show you guys 2 spoiler pics. Sounds absolutly great right now and really balanced. Going to be downloading music all night ofcourse
  2. Thanks Mike Got some deadening done today. Only got one door done though and didn't take enough pics so I'll just leave you with one spoiler pic for now. When I do the other door ill make sure to take a bunch of more pictures and leave a better update. For now...
  3. Video doesn't show much but you can see slight movement. Its on my build log
  4. First video for the log. Nothing special... Couple pictures of the new sub next to the Dayton 6" and my SDS deadening products. One small sheet of MLV/CCF will be enough for the two front doors with about 8"x34" extra to add in the trunk.
  5. Bargain route = PAC More functions = LC2i Some people complain about drop off when you turn the volume up while using a cheap LOC. This means the volume level on your sub will not be gaining as much as the volume level on the speakers when you turn up the volume. I've never experienced this though because I just went strait for the LC2i. I've heard PAC does pretty good with there LOC though.
  6. Problem fixed. I was wiring the sub out of phase. Following the 12volt diagrams too literal didn't help. After talking to Nick he set me strait and got them moving. I'll update the log tomorrow with a sample video
  7. Thanks Joker. I'm going to try it out in the morning when I have more time to take off panels and such. I'll update the logs after.
  8. K got the DMM but not entirely sure where to start... I don't have a program or anything to play a single tone just music off my ipod or cd's. One thing to keep in mind is I can't get to the LC2i very easily. If I wanted to disconnect anything or test spots at the LOC I would have to take off the back panel which is not very fun.
  9. About to grab a DMM from Ace. I'll see what we can figure out after that.
  10. Hey guys I just plugged in my Fi Q 12d2 to my sundown SAX-1200(refurbished by db-r) to test and make sure everything is working properly. I have a Audiocontrol LC2i to signal the sundowns RCA to the speaker level wiring of my factory sub to the factory amp. I'm 90% sure I have all the wiring done correctly. The sundown amp remote on is ran from the LC2i output. The sundown amp light turns on when I turn on the car so I'm pretty sure the GTO on the LC2i is working properly. I wired it parallel testing out low volume with the sub just sitting on its magnet and get no sound/vibration. Ill be in the chat room if you guys want to ask questions so I can give you fastest response. Thanks for the help. Trevor
  11. Getting two shipments in tomorrow from UPS. Think you might be able to guess the second one?
  12. You can always go crazy with the butyl rope..
  13. Looks good man you should make a video with some music playing. Box came out good especially for your first one.
  14. Nice man I'll check it out and sub.
