Me well I worked today welding up an 8" blower shaft and turned the bearing journals back down to size, then had fun rebalancing the fan. All in a day's work I say.

I hate anything Kenmore. My first front loader was a Kenmore and the damn hub on the drum broke and the shitty seal design leaked and destroyed the bearing. So the mechanically minded guy I am I brought it to work and redesigned it.

The pump did not burn up, but became to entangled with hair it wore through the housing locking the magnet up. I cleaned it up and have it as a spare.

Also keep in mind when it come to buying appliance parts Amazon is your friend. I just replaced the waste pump in mine and paid $17.00 for it rather that $72.00 from Sears parts online.

LG makes most brands any more. Honestly washers and dryers are easy to work on. Comes down to features and preferences. When I bought mine if you remember I got a killer deal. They play music, shoot steam, and tell me when they are ill and I don't use many of the features.

Then the wife drove the car home on a flat tire half off the rim and told me she did not notice. Lots of bad luck I had with that car.

I did that job to a 97 grand am gt with 38,000 miles on it. What a fun time.
