It was a direct swap out, the only thing that changed were the mids. At first the evils did not sound as good as the carbons, but keep in mind the carbons have about 4 years of play time so they were in their sweet point. The more play time I got on the evils the better they started to sound. With that being said, I recently swapped the carbons back in and could not really tell the difference with my ear. Is one better than the other? I would say they are on a level playing field in the proper install. As you can tell my doors are pretty well dampened and sound dead so if there was a significant sound difference I would have noticed it right away. Also keep in mind the SSA amp was used for this test because I wanted to see if I could hear a difference using this amp. I am currently beating the evil mids pretty damn hard and loving them as much as I did the carbons.

Almost forgot, I also scored 3 boxes of Pergo for $32 flooring. I needed this or I was going to have to replace the entire floor. This will be a quick job though, but lucky as hell to see they were closing out the same floor I put down 5 years ago.

All this tile work, a new shower unit, and I need to put a ceiling in my garage! Looks like my days off are taken care of for the next 10 months or so...

No worries I have laid tile before, I am buying a little at a time. I will be getting 20 sheets of concrete board.

Our local Lowe's is had killer deals on several wood grain tile. I went back for more and it was almost gone today. Told the wife right place at the right time.

Here is the tile score! There is also back splash pieces there that sold for $.28 a piece. 355 sp of tile and 18sq of back splash!

From AA carbons to the Evil 6.5's

Killer deals at lowes yesterday! $889.20 worth of tile for $62.36. Now I need 20 sheets of cement backer board, glue, and grout. Just got myself into a lot of work!

I was given a good deal and figured I would use it to buffer the power ripple when I am running the subs hard.
