That is like me and rap. We rarly get along. I cant stand any of the new hip-hop or rap that they just talk about how much money, cars, clotes, and women they have. I also hate the whole "crunk" movement. As in most rock, the classics is where its at.- Welcome to the IHoP
I completly understand.- Welcome to the IHoP
That's ghey. Hey, at least he doesn't play "screamo" all the time, even when he's not in the room, right? Although, by the second semester I had the louder stereo, so if I really wanted to, I wouldn't have to hear it The Used, Thursday, Taking Back Sunday, and Hawthorne Heights still bother me, though. Were you one of those high school kids that joined Facebook before you got to school? I didn't join until September sometime...and even then because I wanted to get in touch with some people I hadn't heard from in years. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I like The Used. Going to see them next weekend.- Welcome to the IHoP
Yeah, his responce to the below was..."only thing you can do is a smaller dia. pully" ~$20 I am not worried about that. I am worried about a voided warranty. Here is my reply to Nate... Nate, I cant change the idle on the truck. The computer wont allow it without custom tuning of the ecm. That is way too pricy for me. Question, There is a local custom alt shop here in Dallas with a great reputation (Auto Electric Systems Inc). I will have them look at it and advise me what they feel would be best. If they do happen to advise or make any changes (regulator, pully, etc.) would you still warrent the alt? Thanks, Justin Tillery <{POST_SNAPBACK}>- Where's my Mag :)

Going to a local custom alt shop tomorrow. For those of you that dont know, I thought it was funny when Nate told me to try and idle my truck up some...you cant Computer>me Oh well, Micky at the alt shop said to bring it by. He told me that he would charge me any labor, just parts, for the smaller pully.- Welcome to the IHoP
Got to love Nates respose from my email lastnight... You might want to check to see if it can be idled up just a little bit to get it at about 14 volts - probaly about 650 - 700 rpm. Nate, I need some help/ideas. The 250a alt I bought from you arrived today. I installed it this afternoon. Apparently I have a problem with voltage at idle. Idle for my truck is ~600rpm. With no accessories on the voltage reads 13.5v At ~800rpm it reads a nice 14.4v Now here is the problem part. With A/C and Headlights on the truck reads 11.8v. Do you know what I could do to fix this problem? The stock alt runs ~14.4v at idle and higher. I need a way to up the volts. Seeing that I am not even running my stereo yet I am worried. Thanks for any help you can give, Justin Tillery- Welcome to the IHoP
Your telling me... 13.8v at idle with NOTHING on...no accessories. 11.8 with just the headlights and A/C on at idle ~14v while driving and pull up to a red light and I get dimming, I dont even have the stereo on <{POST_SNAPBACK}> To tell You the truth, he is generally very helpful. Email him and he'll prolly get back to You with a good response. He handled two issues for me with two different alt's over the last year.- Bored... so i post PICS!!!! lots
Very nice as always! You want to come here and help me with the console? -Justin- Welcome to the IHoP
I wish I knew what was up with the alt. I did a few searches, apparently I am not the only one. - Welcome to the IHoP
