um so i got my system hooked up and i crank it up for a bit and this smell comes out of nowhere, i think its the stuff melting around the cone, either that or my Voice coil is layin on the beach. But it is still playin jsut fine.... any ideas??

Not really sure here, but if the mags r so good how come they are not in mags, talkin about how this person won this comp and destroyed the competition and so forth IT might be but i have not read it anywhere. Ok so i got the power wire and my rca running next to each other, B) , is their somethng i can put in bewteen them to make it not whine...

Then again you dont always need to run rca's straight from ur H/U either

I would have to disagree with you guys on the h/u. on newer cars especially a 2003, i really see no need to buy a newer H/u... Besides on some of these new cars you can't change ur stereo because of some eanti theft device that doesn't allow you to wrok the readio or something like that, SO you will end up taking it to a shop to have them do it for u or u can call the dealer and figure out the way around it. Main Point here,, Stock radios are not always bad...

ok i thought that a cap would be dumb to, but, but that would be like a 1 farad cap, somethng you buy from bb or cc. A 10 farad cap would do you just fine though. SO i fyou have a 1 farad cap you have a little storage charge, if you have a 10 farad cap you have alot of storage and charge so buy the time the cap has drained ur alt has had enoughtime yo charge it back up...

yea but sometimes cone area can be overanalyzed, because if i got a sub and it only moves .5in of excursion compared to one with 3in of exursion. i would got wt the 3in.. numbers are just in general
