u dont need a recone. you can order some new tinsel and rewire it ur self if your a hands on type of guy. I still have my 7kd. Puts out good power honestly. However yes the single terminals you have to buy the distro-block terminal Now i ran it at .5ohms and it caught on fire, not the amps fault, my fault for reading what other ppl did instead of listening to manufacturer. I got it fix under warranty and it is back in my truck as of now. They are good amps, just have to follow directions i suppose. The fan is a bit loud is my only complaint honestly.

what does the floor and trunk look like? I know alot of older cars the trunk and floor is rusted to hell and u could turn into a flintstone if your not careful. ie: riding in my buddies old impala wt hydrualics, man hits the switches and the floor beneath me bends downward smh

You can remove them however, the more wire the better. Only wires I had to remove was from the alt to the batt, because the stud on the alternator isn't big enough to fit 3 ring terminals on...go figure.
