  1. The bush is covering the shtters in the back, lol Nice.
  2. idk bout the fuse holder it was 1/0 gauge 1/0, so it had to be pretty high. But i had a 200amp anl fuse. The car audio places say it was just a cheap holder, but the exspensive one looks the same just round. Dont think it was a heat trap problem, but i guess the new one i got i could place it closer to the fan. I bought another cheap one it was only 12$ but its a memphis mojo holder so it can't be that bad. Nah the rating is fine, i have 2 amps, so it should be at least 200 if not more.' ALso they said i should get a circuit breaker instead of a fuse.
  3. What i'm lost no no wait What??
  4. so lets see those subs already
  5. Ok so i noticed yesterday that my radio would cut out at high volume so i went to the truck looked at the wires and erething seemed coo, I hop back in and it wrlks so i start driving and it does it again... So i justy turn it off and say i'll deal wt it later, so today i get the test light out and go under the hood, and DAAAMMM, my fuse holder was melted and it had started to melt into my finder well.. But the fuse never blew, and basiccly it was only on the side before the fuse. IT was molting i mean the gold was melted off it looked bad i would take pics but its uggly.. Why did this happen? I've seen it happen on amplifiers wt plastic coatings around the batt terminal, aka jbl 1200, BUt i dont know why?
  6. LOL.. congrats man
  7. i would say that an amp is an amp. It just depends on what features you are looking for.
  8. my bad been having some ruff days. the jack is on the side of the box. I dont even know why it is in thier since i dont have a spare tire, didnt have one before now either, weird, i'll take it out 2ma now that i think about it
  9. http://djjdnapson1.spymac.com/movz/18.wmv http://djjdnapson1.spymac.com/movz/MOL049.wmv http://www.realmofexcursion.com/videos/REAudio/sx18.2.wmv That rattel noise is a jack, its on the box so it was rattling
  10. Its not really that bad, i mean its like someone sanded on it, it doesnt go through, but i'm still gonna cement it up dam the resale value is plundering already
  11. haha, excursion is killin me. It closes, just rubs at high volume Basicly its rubbing against the fabric on the trunk.. What can i do to solve this problem. A. Put a piece of soft fabric to cover the subs B. Take off the fabric on the trunk C. I dotn know what C is
  12. looks like i gotta go buy me some pvc. Since i did have to cut my port off to get the dam box in the trunk, i guess i can always go wt round ports. I dont see me getting much prot area this way though. edit: I also still dont see how you can have alot of port area and be tuned to a reasonable Freq. edit again.. Ok so i was calculating stuff And i can have 5 round ports that are 4in wide 10.9in long...That seems like alot of port to me to be tuned to 35
  13. haha, no but he did bash his head into a glass door and broke it(the door that is). He's older and thinks he knows more, which may be true but not when it comes to audio. also for some reason he thinks small boxes are loud
  14. So my brother keeps telling me that even if i port my box that it will have no effect on how loud it will be, because it is in a trunk and that the only way i will tell teh diffrence is if i have a suv or fold down seats I know this is not true, but to an extent it kinda makes since
  15. So basicly, box in trunk, 2 18's and 1 amp. for whatever db and iasca i guess, but for iasca i would have 2 amps
  16. Dude in a camry you will def, go def, your car is going to fall apart, i mean i have a big car so its not as bad, but dam, you should face it forward and let the seats down What is it a waste or something
  17. You jinxed me, i was screwing the screws back in, and what happens the bit slips out of the drill, and staight through the outer cone area, it got stick to the magnet.. SO then i have to go get another drill bit and take the sub back out I dont really care because it wangs now, kinda hurts my ears but i'm already half way deaf.. Funny thing was my 60amp fuse i had on my distro blcok said snap, so i just hooked it directly to the BAtt, but i have another 200anl fuse up thier so i'm alright
  18. Man, i just thought about it and was like let me check. So yea i have my subs wired to 2 ohms, instead of .5 ... I was like man its loud but something is amiss, time to go beat the block up
  19. not sure how many cubes at the moment never calculated. Its 25x40x23 originally it was 25x43.5x28. Bracing is actually good, thier are wedges on the inside corners. The ported box sounded really really nice, this sealed rhombus just barely gets the job done.
  20. hmm it wrks for me, not the 1st post but the 3rd one.
  21. good info. Well i have a regular everstart battery. And a stock alt. My headlights dim slightly after the big 3, but inside lights are rediculous if the door is open and the interior lights are on.. So one direct me in the cheap direction of alts, teh irragi's on ebay seem pretty cheap especially for that 180amp, its only like 150$
  22. hey thier not that bad, i used the flash i guess my crack hand strikes again
