I went by what AA recommend. There is no bassboost on whatsoever, don't believe in its usefulness. Could try firing the sub upwards, but as its a hatchback every boot install I have had always had a rear facing enclosure.

There is a noticeable dip in output. Obviously these Hz boundaries I have quoted arent precise but rather an estimate. Should have been clearer in the first post. On Rap etc it has insane output for a 12, on other punchy/higher bass note songs (I.E Trance/Drum and Bass etc) the output drops.

I have a SPL-D 1500D powering a AA Havoc 12 in a box that is 2.2cuft and tuned to 32hz. It plays the low end immensly (<36hz) but on the 40hz+ it doesn't do so well. Amp settings are LPF at 63hz, subsonic approx 30hz. Voltage is good, always at 13v or above. Any advice ?

Yes I was using my Motorola Milestone (UK version of the Motorola Droid). The install absolutely hammered the car senseless.

This was my install, went balls out for it. 4 x BTL 15's with 10kw of atomic power in a 21cuft wall. Managed 153.3 Dbdrag @ 39hz and 155 on music one door open. Both Termlab of course How I miss those days.....

I run 2500wrms to each of my 4 BTL's daily. Set up properly, scoped the works. Don't even get warm unless I thrash them like a mad man or if I let BILTD near them.

I'm running two atomic 5000.1's with 5 C&D Batteries (93ah maxrate ones) with 0awg all over and a 280a XS Power alternator. Now I can say straight off my power supply isnt adequate for all day booming but for short bursts (15 odd mins) its fine. Add to that I'm in the UK and our cars are tiny compared to your guys in the states so space is always an issue. Now my question is my batteries rest at 12.4-6 which seems very low to me ? I have a Ctek 25000 and was wondering should I give the recondition mode a try ? Any one got any general advice as hardly anyone runs these batteries in the UK.

Not being patronising but I assume you have wired it as so. Pos terminal from sub to second pos terminal on sub to amp Neg terminal from sub to second neg terminal on sub to amp ? If it still isnt outputting correctly something me be awry somewhere.

I'd lose 15% of my sanity if a sucessor to the BTL comes out anytime soon. Last time I bought BL's the 09 version came out 1 week later Got to love Fi's when its done its done policy, no BS no marketing pap just the product and bam.

I was running a de3000 @ 2ohms. Its meant to do 3kw but really does 2.2k @ 2ohms and 3.5kw @ 1ohm. They sounded pretty awesome off just that much and were moving a fair bit.

My old install had 2 BL 18's with 1.1k each. Metered at 148.2 with 27hz tuning. Most smile inducing moment was when I was demo'ing to friends and I was flexing shopfront windows In December the new build starts with 4 x 15" BTL's and 10kw
