old topic, but didnt even realize how similar the two look. they are almost identical, in appearance anyway.

send power to all the different speakers basicly....4 channel amp can send power to 4 different speakers(usually interior speakers), 2 channel to 2 etc. you can power two subwoofers with one mono(one channel) amp though. maybe theres some technical definition for what the channels actually do, but i dont know it. thats all i know.

a little off topic but not really....the op kinda reminds me of somethin that happened today. i was drivin with my cousin leaving school with my friend in the car and we were talkin about subs. he was like, dude kicker and JL make the best subwoofers. i say they dont. he says seriously, solo x's and W7's win ALL of the sound competitions what are you talking about. i started to call him an idiot but instead i was like, i have never even seen solo x's or w7's win at the sound comps i have been to....i go on and eventually get on the subject of Fi and Sundown. hes like, they sound like chitty brands ive never even heard of them. i tell him they make some of the best subwoofers that you can buy, and hes like no fudgein way dude i bet my kickers will murder them. i didnt say anything to that and let him keep ranting on about how loud his kickers are. and then hes like, man whatever dude theres no way anything out there is beatin a JACKHAMMER(AND HE WAS DEAD SERIOUS) i say are you fudgein kidding me thats just a huge ass paper weight. he says dude it costs 20k and can take 12k watts....again i just let him rant on about how good there were. and blah blah blah all this time we are riding, he has no idea my cousin has 2 15" nightshades in the trunk since hes never been in the car. my cousin flips on the hu, plugs up his ipod and lets him have it. my friend almost chit his pants lol. when we get out hes like, holy chit my ears are fudgein ringing you must have some w7's or some mtx's or somethin...what do you have W7's or somethin oh and needless to say, he no longer thinks kickers are the best woofers, nor does he think his kickers will murder Sundown or Fi subs lol. sorry for the long ass story...just thought i would say that. it was a pretty funny convo. i love lettin people think they are schoolin me on car audio and then handin it to em.

well according to wut all the gurus round these parts are tellin me...6x8's arent really good and its better to make an adapter for 6.5's. thats what im going to end up doing when i figure out how.

it shows that the cooling option costs nothing for the Bl now, not sure if it is supposed to be that way or not. just wondering...the way i figured that out was becuase i was pricing a Bl and a Q 12 and the Q 12 came out as a higher price than the Bl.

theres always a lot more to learn....especially in this forum lol. dont sweat it though, i didnt know more than half of the brands advertised on this forum before i started looking at it and i finally decided to register. these guys have kept me from makin some dumb choices too, beleive it or not.

oh, so it was relatively new when you sold it.

well i can just put this over the factory braket and put a stiffer one over it and use this as a template...it doesnt cost much at all... deadening is a must. i took the speakers out of the rear quarters and its nothing but open space to the fender and back into the trunk.

if those will work with my car that is perfect! what do you guys think? im takin you-alls word for it that the 6.5's will sound better so if these would do the job, then im all in. what else might i have to do to make em sound good?

How hard is it to tint windows and make it look good. I know a lot of my friends in high school tinted their windows and it looked like crap within weeks. I want to do it, but I don't want anything to look half assed on this car. it takes LOTS of patience, and i mean LOTS. i almost punched the window i got so mad the first time i tinted windows its easy if you know what you are doing, but if you are a first timer it can be a headache. i finally figured out it was easiest to take the windows out of the car to tint...but the windshield and the back window was a bitch.

Well if I ever decide to do it maybe I'll be asking you questions! well ill be all ears lol

nowadays they arent that hard to come accross with the lowered strutmaster coil conversion and a t56 for a pretty decent price....people are doin those swaps like its nothing now. my dads marks were all converted to lowered coils. i loved the way mark viii's ride.

the whole thing went pretty smooth when i did it. i didnt have any problems i did a 6 speed T56 swap on my dads old mark viii, a 5 speed T5 swap on my dads mark vii, and a 5 speed T5 swap on a friends 4.6 t bird. i just asked a ton of quesitons before i did it and it all went smooth.

those wheels would look nice on your t bird. and 5 speed swaps arent bad at all...dont take much time if you knwo what you are doing.
