cool, well after changing my mind from 12's to 15's to 18's and from ssd's to bl's and back and forth. I just ordered 1 BL 18 with cooling and flatwind and universal for now. Will order the other 1 in couple weeks and order another 1500d. I will get to start on my box next weekend, having to work all this weekend.

well, i got on fi site to order my ssd 18's, and noticed first that there was no charge now for the cooling option on the bl's. When did they change it, and does anybody know if they have the magnets or whatever they were waiting on for the BL's? I may be able to just go ahead and get the BL now, well order one now and one in couple weeks. thanks

i will let him know. If he waits couple weeks, i will order my ssd's and he can listen to that first. There is no telling what he will do. He may go in store and see some 15's for $100 each and buy 6 of them, he sees cheap and jumps on it. Trying to talk him into some fi's though

ok, a buddy of mine has 4 cheap memphis power reference 15's in a s10 blazer run off a mtx 1500 watt amp. Now, after hearing my bl 12", he either wants to go with 4 ssd 15's or 2 BL 18's. He is going to get 1 sundown 3000d. Both boxes would be ported and he has plenty of space, he took his back seat out already. I told him 2 BL 18's would be plenty. Which do you think would be better. He listens to mostly rap, some country and rock. He also has upgraded alt, and couple kinetik 2000's.

what year expedition? i have a 98 and i can get 20 cubes before port and still be able to keep back seat. I asked couple questions about running 2 ssd 18's, and ended up getting design made thru fishercustoms. The measurements i took, i wanted subs up and port back, and it was like 19 cubes and that was keeping box about 6-8 inches from back door.

2 ssd 18,s. i can go bigger if needed, i am just trying to keep box even with seat height

i read the guide on here for the ssd's, and its a pretty wide range of sizes. I have plenty of room, and was thinking tuning to 32hz and about 16-17 cubes gross. Will be subs up and port back in expedition running off 1 saz1500d. Any suggestions, or does that sound like good place to start? thanks

thanks big jon. You usually have the answer to most questions. LOL I was hoping to run that setup for awhile, till i get my tires wheels and lift put on, then later add another 1500d or a 3000d and maybe some nightshades or bl 18's.

right now i have cash for 2 18"ssd, but not 2 18" bl, the bl way i would definitley have to go ahead and get another amp also.

meant that to say how would 1 1500d run 2 ssd 18's? i think i am just going to run it like that for now, then maybe get a 3000d

I have looked up several different options to go with next, right now i have 1 bl 12" with 1 saz1500d. I am used to having just jl, kicker, or rockford stuff, so all this fi and sundown stuff is hard to make a decision. I dont want to have to run another 1500d really, can if really needed. How would 1 1500d run to ssd 18"s, ok, decent?

I already have 1 BL 12 with a sundown 1500d on it now, i was going to sale it and just get some 18s or whatever. Now if I go ahead and just get another BL 12 with same options I have now which are D2, cooling, and flatwind, and run them to a pair of strapped 1500d's they should be fine with that power? I figured they would be ok, since already have 1500 watts on 1. thanks.

well, i have had several 10's, different 12's, i just like the way the 10s sound best i guess. maybe i just picky, or maybe i just dont stick with same thing for long. LOL

i am not worried much bout the price, I like how the BL sounds, but I like the way 10's sound too. I had intended on doing something bigger later, but suppose to have lift put on and some other stuff next month. So, I would like to have room to mount my spare in the back and still have room for stereo too. Truck is 98 expedition 4x4, would like to stay ported. I listen to mostly rock, some country, then some days rap too. The BL is in a 2.5 cube box tuned to 32hz and everything sounds good on it. Basically, if I am going to have to have box about same size as now, I will just stay with what I have or maybe downgrade after I get prerunner bar mounted with tire on it.

I got 1 BL 12 off a sundown 1500d right now. Looking at changing to 2 10's. Whats 2 good 10's that will be good off 1 1500d? thanks

i havent heard the rest of his full cd's, but i have listened to a few different songs in the past, and they are pretty good too. But, this new cd to me sounds the best.

I agree, i just got the Hard 2 Love cd and it sounds great. Number 6 (B.O.S.S.) sounds good on BL 12", i would really like to hear it on 2 BL 15's. LOL

lol, She loves stereo's too. She had a 2000 grand prix gt with a JL 12w7 with rockford bd1500 on it. Now she has 07 Honda Fit, small car, and she wanted something that she did all by herself. So, she built fiberglass box ported with 2 Punch 6.5"s with Punch 45 on them. Small stereo for small car, but sounds very good. Now she is working on a new box for 2 tang band 6.5"s midbass woofers with a different amp. She really likes it, she did all work on hers, sanding, bondoing, everything, then started back to UA and just carpeted it. I will make other post and get her to post some pics of her stuff

Well, i bought the BL 12" about month ago and right when i was building box for it, i traded vehicles. I thought when I got this expedition I was going to want something alot bigger than just 1 12". So, I got a box designed for 2 BL 15's and had decided thats what i was going to do. But, I already had the 12" and a sundown 1500d, so I went ahead and threw together a box, and my wife has been wanting to fiberglass, so she finished it saturday night and I got it put in last night. Now, after playing it all day, I am amazed how good this 1 12" sounds. I still have stock electrical for now, as I thought i would upgrade it when i got 2 15's. But now, I am pretty set on keeping this setup for awhile, then later maybe run 2 12's. Will post pics later today before i go to work. Just wanted to say that FI is awesome company, and this is by far best sub I have owned.
