  1. so the ported would have better low end but will it be as musical as 1.5 sealed?
  2. I just got rid of my suv and bought a car and I plan on putting my Q in my car but don't want to use the same box because it's just too big. Right now it's in 2.5 cubes at 32. I was thinking about going sealed for SQ but then again I want it to be loud enough for the sound to come from the trunk into the cabin of the car. I'm a low end feind, so I definitely want the lows. For a mixture of SQ and SPL while retaining some trunk space I was thinking 1.8cuft (FI recommended minimum) tuned low to like 28-30. How would this work compared to going sealed in 1.5 cubes?
  3. yeah, the amp will be set up correctly with a DMM so I won't send a clipped signal.
  4. no, no comps for me. I just want a decently loud setup that will pound the lows and sound good doing it. Eventually, I'll be getting rid of my truck and getting a car so the sub will probably be sealed later down the road.
  5. I'm new to the message board and just wondering if I should get my Q with or without the BP option. It will be run in a 2.5cuft box tuned to 32Hz and powered by a Diamond Audio D5 1200.1. The amp does rated power at 12v so I'm probably looking at about 1300rms on my electrical.
