wtf, really? i thought that "music on TV" stuff ended in the 90's.- Welcome to the IHoP
i've never had dunn but i will try it. where did you have peet's? i grew up on the two original berkeley locations which are full of yuppie hippies who have nothing better to do than scrutinize their coffee and talk about their compost piles or recycling habits. the people who work those locations really are coffee professionals, down here in SB i've only had them grind my beans for my press.- Welcome to the IHoP
i know you're asking sean1 but i would highly recommend http://www.peets.com/Default.asp- My Noob Question Thread
if you want to save a couple bucks and get the same power and reliability as the rockford amps you described you could keep it in-house and shop at ssa, this is a killer deal and a lot of power for a beginner system: http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/zencart...products_id=151- big green
wow! to each his own i guess, cool pics though jon. definitely different- Welcome to the IHoP
I fail to see what he did wrong. now you can't disagree with people on a forum? Yes you can. Certainly didn't look like a 'regular' way of expressing his dissagreement (sp?) though I missed it and now its edited. Made Mike leave though. Amazing how a couple tards manage to pretty much turn off a great portion of the truly technical people here i totally understand why he's frustrated with how people react to his attempts to help them, what i don't get is why clipping is such a difficult topic for people to grasp.- Welcome to the IHoP
I might be able to set up and break some MDF with and without resin at work and be able to show load vs displacement plots and actual numbers. But would anyone really pay care or would they just go on thinking that bubba joe that they know is right? i would love to see some real testing on this forum from time to time- Welcome to the IHoP

sounds like there's a mechanical slapping in your video but it could just be the camera mic. what comp are you going to, i still need to get my car metered for the first time- Axis 15 Kerf Port Box
that's why i was thinking to lay ply on the top and bottom sides of the deck with foam between, to make it entirely solid/rigid but that would put a damper on any plans of firing your woofers up. i guess i'm looking at losing the whole back seating area when i take the dive on the full blown setup.- Welcome to the IHoP
Me too buddy :bigclap: nice work guys- Welcome to the IHoP

missed my financial aid priority deadline and now i have to appeal for more grants. i was however already awarded a $5300 pell for spring, that with the $3900 from my internship should hold me over for the spring 09 quarter- Axis 15 Kerf Port Box
so you're going to fire in the cabin, seal off the trunk and use the rear deck for porting; sub forward/port up? i'm toying with ideas for my wall, i don't want it to go above the rear deck or past the rear seat backrest into the cabin, but it's just going to be in the planning stage for the next year or so. i was thinking i would reinforce the rear deck with a layer of ply on the top and bottom with foam and/or deadener in between. basically i want a wall that follows the same line as the backrest of the rear seats in the coupe. in the meantime i need to get my current setup metered so i have a reference point on how loud it is, but there's no one in my area that is interested in ground pounders, mostly sq guys.- Axis 15 Kerf Port Box
yeah it didn't look too bad and i know this is a strange way to think about it but if you'd had one of those safety tables you'd be out a table saw right now and that would probably take a lot longer to heal than the cut you got. but most people don't just lose a little skin when they have a saw run in. how does firing the port in the cabin and the woofer back affect the sound? i've always had poor luck firing woofer/port into the cabin so i took out my rear deck speakers and stripped the rear deck. when i replace my accord with another daily driver i want to remove the back seats, wall it and seal the trunk, and build a little false floor for a battery bank and amps behind the front seat.- Welcome to the IHoP

finally an armrest for tall guys! seriously i'm glad to see your fingers ok, could have been a lot worse.- 12" Xcon Flared port
He must make sweet love to his table saw every night to be able to do these boxes this well. lol Mark we need to invest in a table saw ... too bad there so damb expensive a nice table helps and even though a table saw is expensive, the skills are priceless. all the PTS build logs remind me how limited my skills are, i'm sure thumpper could pick up my wormdrive 77 and put us all to shame with just a skillsaw and a straight edge.- I want to learn to build
