yeah, i've been looking at woofers and i just remembered the RE series this morning. it modeled up really well in winisd so i figured i'd post this thread and see if anyone could convince me otherwise. thanks for the suggestions adrian, i like the peerless but at $90 the dayton's again creeping out of my budget for this build.- Welcome to the IHoP
i'm going to promote my own question in here http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/forum/i...showtopic=25280- budget 10" sq sub for home use
i'm thinking about adding a cheap 10" sub to my dad's home audio setup. i was thinking about a RE re10d4 in 1.5cu @ ~28hz or something along these lines. his stereo receiver has a sub preamp output so i can just buy a cheap mono amp (100-200w) for power. the sub will be going with a pair of monitor audio rs6 towers in a medium/large living room. for price reference the re subs go for about $50ea. i was also looking at the dayton hf but they're about twice as much, i'm trying to stay under $75 shipped if possible. any suggestions???- Welcome to the IHoP
naw son the more the merrier 3 more cd's and another book for twenty bucks shipped- Welcome to the IHoP
found a bottle of glenlivet on sale at the market today.- Welcome to the IHoP
that's not ballet.... is it bad that i continually order more stuff off amazon before my last order arrives?- stereo speakers for 1k
i really like the monitor audio silver reference line. i got my dad a pair of rs-6 towers that he loves, i personally use the rs1 bookshelf speakers as surrounds and have used them as fronts in smaller rooms. rs-8's should fill a decent sized living room. http://www.stereophile.com/floorloudspeakers/306monitor/- looking to buy a home theater system
look for the cheapest one you can find. if you have to buy a htib you shouldn't split hairs over which one just get the best deal you can.- Welcome to the IHoP
it's "patient bear" :bigclap:- need advice on buying a home theather system
i doubt you'll find towers that will have a good response below 30hz, where most of the low notes in movies tend to rumble. i use a velodyne dls-r 3750, and have used many cheaper and more expensive powered subs. for the money the velodyne dls has been a favorite of my ears.- Welcome to the IHoP
oh and i tried shiner bock finally, it was right tasty! - budget 10" sq sub for home use
