  2. Won't make it this year.... I heard you're not competing either? I've been too tied up with the new subs n such.. ****sorry I never got back at you on the dmx 12's, I didn't end up having any "good" pairs
  3. had one of those... nice unit... Mine Skipped like a SOB though... then the noise issue.... went to JVC's after a few months with my PRS (I had only owned pioneers up to that point and the 800 was the first one I had ever had that had an issue with skipping.) **not bashing it... nice unit.. Only I had some issues with it...
  4. Finally working on this thing again.. hopefully some pics and good progress tomorrow
  5. Haha... sorry... all my amps are DBxxxx so i just tacked the B on the motors... they're just D-series motors.. Sorry.. lol thanks for the site.
  6. Hey guys... Taking a step back away from working on woofer boxes for a while to finish up a couple of my honda projects.. I've got a 95EX w a D16Z motor Manual trans(that seems to be locked--trans is SUPPOSE to be good but I have no real way of knowing--(just picked the car up havn't torn into it yet.) from what I know the D16z is one of the good motors.. 125hp... Vtec btw I've also got a 97 HX w a D16Y5 motor auto trans... which is a strong running/smooth shifting but the car is totaled. The motor in this car is listed as a vtec motor but isn't tagged that way on the engine... From what I know I believe this is a 109hp motor (or somewhere in that Ballpark) Now what I'm looking at doing is pulling the motor out of the 97 and putting it in the 95 and keeping the original manual trans in the 95. I just need to find out if I can pair up the trans and if I need to change the wiring harness to do the swap... **and if there is some way around changing the harness/computer if I swap the head/fuel system over... (this swap isn't to gain power... I just want a driveable civic... lol) I know it's a big project either way... just need some help getting pointed in the right direction.
  7. Were debating at this point.. the whole box will be flushed into the rear of the truck.. i.e. I will be making trim panels that go all the way around the box to make it "fit" into the interior.. those panels will be carpeted to match the truck.. the amps will be "flushed" into the top of the box and the port flare will be flush as well. He wants me to bring the subs out away from the box and glass a "trim ring" and paint the face... however... the truck is red.. the carpet is grey and the woofers are black/black... so a black face may look bad... and a red face is a no go... so odds are it's getting carpet like the rest of it..
  8. Tahoe build is on hold till next monday.. Got a busy weekend ahead... I'll be finishing up the bracing and working on the port flare starting monday.. Spending the weekend building the f150's box so we can do some test fitting..
  9. Yeah it's my own brand... Just starting up.. I've been working on this woofer for over a year now... I go way back with Massive Audio so almost every amp I use is a Massive audio amp (they treat me Right So I stick w them).. there is a trend with all of my current installs Regular Cab S-10 (cut Through) 2 Rival A12.22's and 2 DB8000's X-tra Cab F150 (it's the cab w/ the little space behind the seats but no rear seats) 2 Rival A12.22's and 2 DB3000's My truck is awaiting 6 D160000's and 6 Rival A12.22's -- the amps arent available quite yet but I've got first dibs on my 6 I'll post up some pics of the other two installs at a later time **No pricing just yet... I'm waiting for the Website to be up and running before I go Jumping the Gun with anything.. Looking to go at it full swing by october.. these first few vehicles are just to get the word out locally. **The "Big" 15" (like the 12 here) won't be available this year.. the smaller one you found on Youtube will be available in October..
  10. Sneek Peek at the Moofers...
  11. we plan on doing a big door build later... probably over the winter...
  12. I'll be adding some bracing today.... and work a little on the port flare...
  13. Did some glassing Yesterday... Put the top on trimmed up the top today... opened up the port as well--still have finish work to do in there.. I'm holding off until I get the flare glassed--it's an addition to the top of the box. no sense in doing a ton of sanding now when resin is bound to drip down there later.. test fitting the amps... getting an idea of the wiring layout ect...
  14. yeah... sorry... updated being posted in a sec ***and by the way.... I posted this up with the wrong truck details... his old truck was the 96 yukon... this is a 99 two door Tahoe
  15. Got all the seems glassed up with 2-3 layers of mat... get some more pics monday..
  16. the way it is as of yesterday... baffel mounted... the top board is just sitting there... that's not where it belongs **this thing is now too bulky/heavy to move on my own
  17. I know... my cell takes REALLY Terrible pics... sorry More will be done tomorrow... there's still a ton to do.. this has to be put on hold a bit since I have two other boxes to build for customers... (this Yukon build is for a good friend so the "regular" customers take priority) I'll work on it a little for the next two days but I really have to focus on the other two builds--One is big (like this one) and the other is just a basic box.
  18. We failed to take any pics of the doors... when we take them back apart we'll have to get some photos...
  19. clamping on the 1" worth of spacer to bring the subs back. test fitting the parts actually gluing the port/battery tray down underside.... ignore the scribbles... baffle... glass drying...
  20. ported... 6 cubes net tuned 32-33hz... More pics coming in a few
  21. It's two bt120's in the rear and we're working on adding two more under the hood.. with his resting ohm at 1.33 we'll probably only see 6000watts out of the pair of amps most of the time... (between the box rise and resting load being a little high.) *high output alt will be added as well... just at a later time... probably closer to winter.. **this won't be up and running for atleast 3-4 more weeks...
  22. here's some early pics of the box... it's further along now I just need to upload the other pics... these are off my cell
  23. Gutted RCA's and speaker wires all loomed up *note that I hand washed the entire floor... A little deadener... cheap stuff... just what I had sitting around. *all these photos are pre- heatgun/roller... just laid down in the pics Carpet Pad__removed them and washed them up.. they were pretty nasty.. the carpet was all stained up.. some oxyclean and scrubbing took care of the carpet.. cd wiring, soldered and heat shrinked all the wires... *we didn't clean the cargo carpet... yet... going back together apparently I didn't get any pics of the door speaker install.. pretty basic.. mids and highs are in factory location.. I'll get some box build pics posted later today or tomorrow.
