WTF....Need Help
Naw.....don't really need one right now, will probably never need one in the future......not worth the extra expense and wait time (considering I need my car running right now, and not 4 weeks from now when the alt arrives)

Or we should just replace the dustcap with a Dildo

WTF....Need Help
Pisses me off too......I was jamming to my new Eagles CD, that I just bought 10 minutes before my car died. I didn't even get all the way through Hotel California :(

WTF....Need Help
That my car took a chit on my yesterday....leaving me stranded 30 miles from him Voltage dropped suuuppppeeeerrrr low, stalled my car as I was pulling into a parking spot. Had someone jump me.....but then my alternator started smoking and squeeling real bad......So, looks like my alt is junk and hopefully didn't take the battery with it

One of my concerns has been mentioned before and I'd like to find out from adire if the stamped basket can really do 28mm. Not that I really need 28mm but if I'm paying for something as advertised then I kind of expect it. I'm sure that it will be plenty loud anyway, but I would like to know. thanks, b If the stamped steel doesn't allow for 28mm rearward....then it won't be used Though I am going for cost effectiveness.....I'm not going to compromise major aspects of it's performance in the name of cost effectiveness. That is a promise. As for the decals.....UCP has the right idea. Find someone to make a smaller batch of a generally agreed upon design, and you can purchase one yourself if you wish to have one.

But either way.....none of it matters if we can't get atleast 6 more drivers "ordered"......so, I'd say that is something we need to focus on first But...basket I'm not worried about, looks wise. Though I'm not sure if the typical stamped steel will allow for atleast 28mm rearward clearance. Surround....I still don't know. May just tell Adire to use whichever they feel is most appropriate from a cost-performance perspective. I understand both of your sides, Ryan and Beat. But seriously, would the type of surround used be a deal breaker for anybody? Doubtful, considering even treated foam is rather resilient these days. It's really more a choice of cosmetic treatment than anything.....

The logo, if we did any, would most definitely be a vinyl/etc decal that would be applied by you after the subwoofer arrived at your doorstep. It would not be part of the manufacturing process.

These are the only definites that I have: Squeak - 1 Tirefryr - 2 UCP - 1 Jntar - 1 DBFan - 1 That's only 6 definites (or atleast said they were definite )....and a whole lot of "maybes". When we make it to 11 I'll start collecting the downpayments. Again, $165 down (plus paypal fees if paying by paypal), balance due upon completion. Also...surround material? Foam? Rubber? I'm interested to foam, seeing as how it's a little less tempermental in temperature variations. But rubber is a tad more durable (in general). Dustcap; we'll probably just stay with that simple convex in the pic.....unless the dustcap selection is a deal breaker for someone

what about just the Adire diamond? But it's not technically an "Adire" woofer.....would hate to have any sort of trademark infringement going on........

Well, we got our first real slippery weather of the season Saturday night. There was snow on the ground that had melted, then at night it got cold enough for that water to refreeze and then a nice, wet slick snow fell on top of the ice. So, on the way home from my girlfriend's company's christmas party I was able to demonstrate for her how to sucessfully recover from an inadvertant slide on icey roads Ofcourse this demonstration included on-coming traffic in the other lane of the road.......- Can Anyone Tell Me What This is?
Yup. It's a Kove Armageddon Z From pics I've seen, the item you receive will probably actually say "Kove" on the bottom of the magnet.- The Official TeamSSA Subwoofer Thread
I guess I'm not sure what you mean by "just throw this on a baffle"? If you mean you want to just build a baffle, put it on a stand and toss it in the corner of your room....that will not work for infinite baffle. To be infinite baffle, the front wave and rear wave must be completely isolated from each other.- The Official TeamSSA Subwoofer Thread
IB > all Seriously though....for sound quality, it's about as pure as you can get. Nothing acting on the subwoofer but the subwoofer itself, acoustic suspension wise.- The Official TeamSSA Subwoofer Thread
cut hole in wall/ceiling/floor -> install subwoofer -> sonic nirvana begins. LOL....here are some good pics: http://home.comcast.net/~infinitelybaffled...IB-Gallery.html- The Official TeamSSA Subwoofer Thread
I don't know.....I think I need to start a poll-thread dedicated solely to those who are DEFINITELY in, have money for the downpayment, etc....so far I have like 7 definites and a whole lot of "maybes"....LOL I'll try to go through and do a re-count later tonight or tommorrow though. LOL....I think last time I ran the #'s in WinISD it was in the 20cuft range- Soooo any news from Zed?
They were trying to put together a zed group buy a few days ago: http://forum.elitecaraudio.com/showthread....threadid=122587- Wire Ring has started
Nope. Been at UCP's since 11/25 And I, unfortunately, never got a chance to hook it up The weather was nice up until the day the wire arrived.....then it turned to crap. And the rare couple days the weather was decent I was busy with other obligations. So I never got a chance to get it in my car, and my home stereo is not set up in a manor to accept other speaker cable (cheap crappy 10+yr old RCA bookshelf system). I was really rather disappointed, but the stars just did not align for me.- IB in a hatch
Oh...it's possible. It'd just be a ton of work, and would require you cutting metal to vent to the outside of the vehicle. Not even close. - Welcome to the IHoP
