Built a home gym during the pandemic Holy shit that is a more expensive hobby than audio.

The Vizio E series was right there too. I've been looking on rtings.com a lot and they rated the Vizio E series a "better" TV than the TCL S515 overall, but the S515 was slightly better in the TV and Movie categories specifically, none of the others categories (gaming, PC, etc) matter to me in the least. And the TCL is like $40 cheaper.

So I'm rocking a 46" Panasonic Plasma 720P that I bought from Circuit City in probably 2007'ish. Its basically the flip phone of TVs. Finally looking to upgrade. 55", TV (digital over the air) and movies (streaming HD, bluray) only. No gaming. Price point under $500. From everything I can find, something like the TCL S515 seems to be the best bang for the buck. Any cheaper but equivalent options, or better options at the same price point?

Got 340lbs on bench last week. Hit my goal this week of 285lbs 5x5, which puts me in good position to hit 345lbs 1RM this week or at worst next week. So hopefully within the 4 weeks I'll hit my goal of 350lbs

My standard for acceptable body fat % has always been how my pants/belt fit. If my jeans still fit and I use the same hole in my belt, I'm good. When they don't comfortably fit it's time to lose some weight

But I'm about 5 pounds away from my jeans being uncomfortably tight in the waste.

Need to start a cutting cycle. Too much fun setting new PRs every week though. Hard to give that up.

Got 315lbs on the bench today for the first time ever. Moved way faster than expected. Concentric moved much quicker than my 1st time with 300. Not bad for being back in the gym less than 6 months after taking a year off, and having a substantial reset in Dec due to 3 weeks off battling a never ending sinus infection. And I'm old as fauk.

I can't get my shoulders to rotate into position to hold the bar lowbar. I tend to lean forward squating, and would like to low bar so I can lean forward but keep proper form whole doing so. But man, to hold the bar in that position, my shoulders just can't handle it

It sneaks up quick man. You celebrate all of these little moments like first day of middle school, first day of high school, sweet 16 birthday...and next thing you know they are a their own person making their own way in life. Crazy how 18 years sounds so long looking forward, but looking backward it's just a short moment

I hate squats. I suck at them. Don't like the movement, just not comfortable for me. I'd like to low bar instead of high bar, I think that might help me, but I just don't have the shoulder mobility for it.

Miami University (Ohio) Pretty cool actually. The college is named after the Miami Indian tribe, which my wife and children are a legit member of. Actual card carrying member of the tribe. So she's literally attending a college named for her heritage and ancestors.

This is an interesting year. Moved into a new house in Jan. Lived in our old house 13 years. Company paid for me to travel to Alabama for a week earlier this month to train another office on our system. First time I've flown in literally 10 years. Had never been to 'Bama before eother, so that was interesting. My office finished in the top 10% for performance in the state, so I won an all expenses paid vacation for myself and my wife to San Diego in April. Never been to the west coast before but always wanted to go. Will be the 2nd time I've flown in 2 months, after not flying for 10 years. Sending my daughter to college in August. She will be living on campus. Will be very different without her here. We're pretty close. Just a lot of weird stuff happening this year that I have either never done, or haven't done in a very long time. And we are only 2 months into the year.
