Official Rl-p D2 Group Buy Thread
Ok guys, we have 16 total votes, which surpasses the required amount, with the 12's being the majority vote. So, unless some of those 11 votes are buying more than 1 sub (since we need to sell 15 drivers), we need a few more people to pick up the 12's. But, since we are getting close: WILL ALL THOSE INTERESTED IN A 12" D2 Rl-p PLEASE PM ME EITHER HERE OR AT CA.COM TO LET ME KNOW: THE QUANTITY YOU WILL BE ORDERING YOUR CONTACT INFORMATION IF YOU CURRENTLY HAVE FULL PAYMENT ON HAND This will allow me to get a final, accurate count of drivers spoken for so I know how close we really are. Also, if you voted 15", but instead are willing to buy the 12", please also PM me the information above. Thanks!! We are getting close!!

If you are in need of a test mule, I'd gladly pay for the shipping The plan so far sounds pretty awesome, BTW- Multi-coil wiring
I voted no And I do believe I know where you are going with this- Linear Motor Technology - A Reference
Annodized black cone would be teh sexy HLCD!!!!!! I want a horn that will fit in my car and realisticly(sp?) play down to 300hz with little to no equalization needed. Now, get to work and make it happen Seriously though, 5.25" - 8" mids (even mids like the Koda's that can double as subs) would absolutely rock!- Linear Motor Technology - A Reference
I would like to see this sub be well suited for use Infinite Baffle; Low Q, low Fs, moderate Vas. If you could get a very low distortion and linear motor, that performs well infinite baffle off ~500-700w (when IB) with a stroke of ~30-35mm (closer to 35mm) and really excels at the "low end"....that would be one insane "ultimate" SQ driver that could really hit the home audio market hard aswell. Plus, I would pick up two myself- Official Rl-p D2 Group Buy Thread
No. Only for the "special run" of D2's.- Exciting news from SoundSplinter
I love you guys :D What's the final price on the Rl-i 8"s?? And any news on how high they'll play?- Official Rl-p D2 Group Buy Thread
To give you an approximation; shipping from SS to where I am (Northeast Indiana) was ~$25 for a 12" Rl-p- Official Rl-p D2 Group Buy Thread
Ok, as you may or may not know, SS has eliminated the dual 2ohm/coil version from their Rl-p line up. However, Mike as allowed us to organize a group buy, where he will special order a run of D2 Rl-p's for those interested. As always, rules apply, and here they are as set out by Mike; So, first things first, we need to guage interest in this group buy (as it is specified that a minimum of 15 orders must be placed), and a decision on the size of driver must be made (as it will only apply to either the 12" or 15", but not both). So, please cast your vote and say if you are definitely in.- Driver Pin-Ups: RL-p12 Black Annodized Cone
I wish I could.....stupid weather But as soon as it's decently warm.......- Driver Pin-Ups: RL-p12 Black Annodized Cone
If the matte black is just as sexy, then you can have my 12"er back (still BNIB, mind you ), and I'll take the new anodized cone- Godhead's Eleanor Rigby Remake
Ohh, sweet I also have a downloaded version of Staind covering Sober live. Being the huge Staind fan that I also am, that was pretty cool- Godhead's Eleanor Rigby Remake
Anybody else heard it? I absolutely love it.....awesome remake!! If you haven't heard it, definitely check it out.- Driver Pin-Ups: RL-p12 Black Annodized Cone
Sweet!! I want the new style Those look awesome- Welcome to the IHoP
You guys are nutz......- Another Thread by Nick
I honestly wouldn't put the main midbass in the rear doors. If you wanted to have something back there, or don't have room up front for a 3-way, then I'd say run your fronts full range and run the rears midbass only and somewhat attenuated. As for midbass....tons of options, all of them are good Though I haven't heard them yet, I'd likely go with the XXX mids or the Extremis mids. At CES they measured better on the Klippel system (frequency responce, THD, IMD, etc) than Seas Excels, which are highly regarded speakers in the home audio world. That says something. And with 13mm Xmax, they definitely won't lack in output. For pure midbass, to keep up with the Uber....I would go for the two with top displacement. For the comps, tough call. So many options. You going egay or factory authorized there? Also, do you only have a single 4-channel amp to power all this?- First Looks: SoundSplinter RL-i Series 8" Driver
Sweet!!!! Steve stole my question.....I was praying these would be able to do midbass/midrange duty (up to ~800hz would be sweet). I may just have to pick up two and find out when they are released- 12" Rl-p Infinite Baffle??
Give it time....pics will come- 12" Rl-p Infinite Baffle??
Well, Kurt (Warbleed) said it should do pretty awesome IB aswell......so, now that I have my confidence about it, all that's left is hacking up my rear deck- 12" Rl-p Infinite Baffle??
Thanks Mike The more I think about it.....the more I want to try it. On another forum, a knowledgeable member gave me some confidence that it may work well. But, any and all info you could get would be excellent also. More votes of confidence before I start hacking up my car would definitely be wonderful. I think I'll try hitting up warbleed and see what he thinkds aswell. Plus, it'd be cool if I was the first person to run an Rl-p IB Now I just need to either find a heated garage or have this damned weather warm up :4123357f3da0f6e125a54: - Sub Comparison pics
