Coaxial Question
First off no it won't be on top of dash.the stock location has a bracket for a 3.5 speaker under the dash pad where the winshield is. And you say midrange and tweet need to be on same axis but why do most people have 6.5 woofers and tweeters mounted on door or kick panel?

Coaxial Question
I'm not saying i know it all or trying to be a jacka$$ I've just always liked the idea of everything matching. I figured I would have to mix match but thats y i asked the question if I could do all soundstream. Sq is already gonna be hard enough in a steel single cab box i just didn't know if it was readable. I have been looking at arc audio black series and illusion audio carbon series. Amps are old school 2000rms tarantula and a da vinci. Plan on using audio technix wire and rca. Soundstream ingenix for headunit hidden behind ashtray cover in dash. Processing will be SS synthesis. 4 8 inch reference series subs will handle low end(ported around 25hz) if you can help me on speaker selection that'd be cool. Plan on a 4 inch midrange under dash by front windshield and components in custom door pod. Any other input will be appreciated. Thanks

Coaxial Question
Theoretically speaking if you wanted to build a 3 way active set of matching speakers but couldn't find a 4 inch speaker that wasn't coaxial could you just cut the leads running to the tweeter and still use the cone for lower frequencies ?

Fi Q 10 Center Console
Hello everyone sorry it's been awhile. I broke my arm riding and had to get a rod put in so I was in a rut. But the console is stained everything is in truck and sounds good. Have not used the tarantula nor da vinci because I have decided to use them in my show truck. I have slightly abandoned the sq for this build and just going with a nice daily with nice components saving the old school goodies for the 86 chevy.

Battery Charging Problem
Cool so 130 alt with a 140 amp fuse would be sufficient to charge vehicle and both batts correct
-
Battery Charging Problem
My question is will the 140 amp fuse separating alt and vehicle from battery blow when charging the two xs batts
-
Battery Charging Problem
130 amp denso alt probably 2000-2500 rms max with two runs of 1/0 ofc

Fi Q 10 Center Console
I plan on getting the new ms8 processor from jbl. I'm using ctx component system up front passive for now until the da Vinci comes and and I'll go active.

Fi Q 10 Center Console
I use safari. Also would keeping my tweeters at ear level in their pillar pods and building custom door panels to accommodate the ID 6.5 woofer and a 4 inch midrange destroy imaging?

Fi Q 10 Center Console
Yeah I did that but when the picture copied to the page it just came up as a blue square with a ? mark inside of it. Maybe it's because I have a Mac.

Battery Charging Problem
I have an xs d3400 and plan on getting another, my problem lies that my altenator has a run of 1/0 to the vehicle fuse/power distribution then charges the batter only after passing through a 140 amp fuse that bridges the battery connection to the altenator charging wire. I plan on running a SS Da Vinci for a 2 way 6.5 system up front and some 5 inch rear fill, and an old school SS tarantula. I will be using BLT4's, will the 140 amp fuse be enough to charge the batteries without blowing, also thinking about taking advantage of a MS-8 processor. please help thank you, also i will have two runs of 1/0 from batt to batt and batt to amp.

Fi Q 10 Center Console
Ok cool thank you right now we put everything in and wired up it sounds super clean even off a lil wonder gen3 I have it sanded with 220 and when weather allows she's gonna get probably 2 or 3 coats of minwax Bombay mohogany as well as a hand rubbed mirror finish. No need to add flame to it because it matches perfect with my wood grain. I plan on around 6-10 coats of high gloss spar eurythane(?) to give it a mirror finish. Since I ran into some box height problem we have a friend who does upholstery for hot rods and I'm going to get him to build a custom armrest and 4 guage pod with toggle switches for light and to turn gauges off all wrapped in leather matching the trucks interior as well as mounting my cb radio to the box.

Fi Q 10 Center Console
Hey guys as promised started the center console build for two Fi Q 10s. Box specs changed quite a bit because of a too tall center console cushion, but it actually worked out better, I can now make it look a little more one off custom. Box Specs: H:14 W:15 L:30 Net Volume: 4 Inch Dimpled Precision Port Tuned at a hair under 28 Hz Box material was 23/32 Auracco Baffle was doubled for 1.5 inches Here are some pics, the box will be braced with some 1 inch dowels and polyfill will get wrapped around the body of the port along with the exterior being stained to match trucks woodgrain and hand rubbed to a mirror finish. Call me crazy but i cannot figure out how to post pictures on here if someone could tell me that'd be awesome. Thank you.

Help with Precision Port Enclosure for FI Q 10D2 for Center Console
Hello, this weekend I hope to construct a center console for my truck. The vehicle is a 99 ram 1500 quad cab The box will take place of the center bottom seat cushion, allowing the top flip up portion to still be utilized as storage. The box will house 2 FI Q10 D2 subs with everything but high qts option The box dimensions are H:10" W:15" L:30" Box material will be 1/2 birch ply home depot project panels Box gross volume is 2.11 Port will be precision port dimpled inner + outer flare 4" diameter 24 inches long for a net volume of 1.67 cuft and port tuning frequency of 27.43Hz according to torres. Box will have flame kissed woodgrain with a very dark cherry stain and shalaq for a beautiful finish that matches the dash bezel. Does this seem like a reasonable setup? Any input is welcomed thank you
