I run a single 12 d2 zcon @ 1 ohm on a bc3500. Takes it like a champ. I agree that you don't need to do 2 amps. It's a waste of money and the output won't be what you think it is. If anything just buy a bigger amp or try and sort out your front stage

Thanks for clearing that up. I assume he didn't want people to see anything negative that was posted about his product. From searching around though I can't find much information other than what was posted on this forum. Dss was the big hype a few months ago. I'm just wondering why I'm not hearing anything now. Even some of the big supporters are switching brands. Just wondering if it's because dss quality isn't there or if its just because those people are chasing numbers.

Would you care to elaborate on dss? I noticed they aren't on the forums anymore. I'm currently looking for new subs myself and they were a option for me as well. I'm leaning towards evils though because I have a zcon and have no complaints with it or anything ssa.

I want a musical sub that can dig deep. I listen to mostly rap. Not really worried about numbers but it will be a plus if the subs can do pretty good on the meter..that's why I narrowed my options to three subs...Ethos, tantric hdd, and sp4 of courseNo zcon or evil?

W7's are decent subs. I would be very hesitant to buy a used one because most people who have them think they can take a lot of power because they paid so much money for them. therefore most used ones you see are beat up pretty bad. I've had a couple pairs of them and in no way shape or for would I pay retail for them. Both sets of mine were used but we're in perfect working order and we'll taken care of. The price for the one you are looking at is fair but I would be weary of that missing ring.

Cool thanks for the tips guys. 12.8 is as low as it drops on heavy bass songs cranked. It usualy stays around 13.5 ish on normal songs at the lowest. It just drops down to 12.8 full tilt for a long period of time but I was trying to save space and not add anymore than 2 batteries. I'm about to say hell with it and rip out the back seat and wall it. Thanks again for the advice

Just realized my typo... Its 2.75 lol my bad guys. Also I'm really happy with the zcon it is a beast of a sub. I just want to get louder. Honestly I can't really see any other single 12 getting much louder/lower while still sounding good. I have it in a 2002 cavalier and its pretty brutal. Its tearing my dash apart and damn near shatters my sunroof if I don't have it open. If I decided to build the box in the trunk I could have around 5 cubes net. Just not sure if I want to dedicate the whole trunk to a box. Then I'd have to put the amps and batts in the back seat area.

It is sound deadened. Box is sub and port forward sealed off in the trunk. On a crescendo bc3500. I guess I could try a different box first. My electrical and everything is on point. Doesn't drop below 12.8 at full tilt.

I currently run a single 12 inch zcon and don't really have the room for multiple sub's or any bigger. I'm looking for suggestions on a sub that will get louder and lower if there is one. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I could fit a 15 but I don't really want to build the box inside the trunk.

I vote camper top.. Not one of those ones that's just like a roof. One that sits on the back of the truck for actual camping. With bed and stove n shit. I had 2 12 xfls in a 4.5 cubed box tuned to 32 hz on a audioque 2200 and they were really surprising. Got loud got low and sounded pretty good as well. I had a crap electrical system at the time. No spare batteries and a stock alt and no big 3 upgrade. I beat the crap out of them and the guy I sold them to still has them with a similar crappy electrical system. He still beats the crap out of them and they have been abused for about 2 years now. As far as type r's go. I've never personally had any but seen a few people with them and they didn't seem awful. I'm just not a huge alpine fan but that's just me.. Its a shame you can't get a SSA sub. I have a 12 inch zcon on a crescendo bc3500 right now. This single sub gets louder and lower than both those xfls did and sounds great to boot.you might also look into some fosgate t1 or t2. I had some of those and they were pretty impressive but you don't want to over power them or Clip them at all.If I were you I'd try to find some used stuff first or see if you can find people with different sub setups so you can check them out.the worst thing you can do is watch YouTube videos. Everything looks good on video lol.

Try just moving all the other saved game data you have for other games to the flash drive and install NFS on the hard drive.
