recommendation 2 q18's aq2200
Only reason we discourage them from the "Q" is they try and put a ton of power to them and try to achieve to much SPL from a woofer designed for SQ.

recommendation 2 q18's aq2200
First off if you have the "Q's" build them in a proper box to Fi specs! Your Alpine HU will be more than enough for TA and no need for the Line Driver as the HU is 5 volt already iirmc.

suggestions on battery power
Might want to see what size your factory alt is and then go from there. Could start with an S3400 if it fits under the hood and as Duran said 2-3 D3100 in back!

recommendation 2 q18's aq2200
Ok forget about buying the "Q"...Look into the "BL" or even the "BTL". Forget about adding all those differen't size woofers.....Waste of time and money as you will have nothing but cancellation issues.

Door Speaker Question
Piece of wood (mdf) or other and attatch it to your door and mount your speaker to that. Seal around the baffle and all open holes in your door.

Door Speaker Question
My thoughts exactly, that's why I have never used them. I just posted them up as that is what I think the OP is trying to describe.

Door Speaker Question
Couldn't tell you! Never used them personally.

New front stage
I use Q-Logics and always make a new mounting ring to attatch from behind to reinforce where the mid mounts and then I add some scrap deadening to help add mass as M5 was stating.
-
Door Speaker Question
They go behind the speaker! Like a small enclosure or dust and water protector. They are made of closed cell foam.

Doesn't restrict airflow imo. Just need to account for it's displacement.
