  1. I'm living in Indy That's just the thing, I have little clue how to angle a tweeter.
  2. Hello, I have a 2013 Chrysler 200, and the upgraded 3.5" Kicker coaxial speakers I have in the dash leave a LOT to be desired. I've installed car audio components in my previous cars, but I have never really been successful in achieving a desirable setup; most likely because of my lack of expertise in car audio installation. Hopefully this time I can do a better job, but in all honesty I will not have the capabilities that I see some people have (yeah, I can't custom mount a midbass driver in the kickpanel... lol). I'm most likely looking at a 6.5" component set, and mounting the 1" tweeter in the factory dash location. It will be easy to have the tweeter aiming straight up, but I'm worried about "brightness" or harshness, so I need some ideas on how to aim-mount a tweeter. My receiver, sitting on my desk, is a Kenwood DDX371. I know it doesn't have any tuning capabilities, but I honestly want a DDIN receiver to keep my interior looking somewhat clean. Unfortunately, none of the DDIN receivers feature anything special, but you guys probably already know this. My budget makes implementing Time Alignment difficult. Each sides (Left & Right) factory door speaker is about the same distance from the listener as is the factory tweeter location; I'm not sure how important TA is, but maybe it's not as critical for my situation? - correct me if I'm wrong. Should I aim for $300 component set? At one point I had Morel's (Tempo 6) in my previous car, and I found theme surprisingly good. One of the tweeters went out two months later, and apparently not an uncommon issue; Just wondering what else should I look at, or maybe stick with the new Sony GS component speakers. How difficult would it be to obtain PHD component speakers?
