I love it! It is way louder than my 2 SA-12. The enclosure is tuned to 32 Hz- Zv4 18 in a 2004 Pontiac Vibe (Full Build)

Assembly begins! Tools are fun Starting to take shape The pictures of the sub cut-outs doesn't do it justice. That bike is a 26" Mountain Bike. First baffle on Test fit the top baffle Closer Tried something different with the port. We will see how it sounds... The Zv4 in all it's glory It got dark on my pretty quick so I wasn't able to finish it tonight. Tomorrow morning I plan to attach the top baffle and bolt it down. It should be playing by 10am. I can't wait to hear it!- Zv4 18 in a 2004 Pontiac Vibe (Full Build)
Did a mock up in sketchup before the build...- Zv4 18 in a 2004 Pontiac Vibe (Full Build)
Thanks, I hope to finish up the box this weekend. With my schedule, I am not able to just sit down and finish it. I need one day of nothing going on so I can just knock it out.- Zv4 18 in a 2004 Pontiac Vibe (Full Build)
The 45 at the opening of the port was kind of a last minute thought. I want to try it out as a pseudo-kerf and see if I can tell a difference or not. Plus, it looks kind of cool to me.- Zv4 18 in a 2004 Pontiac Vibe (Full Build)
Yesterday I bought a tablesaw... And made some cuts I was working off of my design And even did some 45's. I have everything cut and sitting in my living room. Of course this happens to be one of the busiest weeks I have so it won't be finished until next weekend most likely.- Zv4 18 in a 2004 Pontiac Vibe (Full Build)
I am going to start drawing up the design tonight after work for the sub enclosure. It will be a basic ported box tuned to 33 Hz.- Zv4 18 in a 2004 Pontiac Vibe (Full Build)
I still have some tuning to do, but so far I like them. If I had to do it all over again, I know of a few things I would change, but that is the fun of doing something you have never done before.- Zv4 18 in a 2004 Pontiac Vibe (Full Build)
I wasn't able to work on the car much in the last few weeks due to 2 things: 1) My dad has been getting better so I have been spending a lot of time with him. 2) I moved to a new apartment closer to work. I just got some new wheels and tires today. I love the way they look! I also finished the doors and reinstalled the interior. I am planning on covering the door panels in suede in the next few months but I wanted to hear them play for the last part of the summer.- Zv4 18 in a 2004 Pontiac Vibe (Full Build)
Big 3 Also decided to plasti dip my A-Pillars Turned out well. I like it.- Zv4 18 in a 2004 Pontiac Vibe (Full Build)
I mounted the crossovers to the back of the door panels. These speakers look so amazing to me. I can't wait to hear them tonight! I am going to be covering the door panels with suede next month. I just plasti-dipped them for now. (Yes, I know I should have sanded them better before painting them) I got impatient to hear them.- Zv4 18 in a 2004 Pontiac Vibe (Full Build)
Getting a lot done today. Finished the Big 3, and now working on mounting up speakers to the door panels. Pics incoming.- Zv4 18 in a 2004 Pontiac Vibe (Full Build)
I am hoping to do some good work on the car tomorrow. I plan to run the RCAs, run the 0awg runs from front to back, do the big 3, install the new battery, and maybe even get the doors wired up. Depends on how motivated I am tomorrow when I wake up.- Zv4 18 in a 2004 Pontiac Vibe (Full Build)
The door panels are held on by about 10 plastic clips and 4 screws from the factory. I am going to see how well it holds before I add any extra screws in. I don't think I am adding THAT much weight to it where it will make any difference. If I need to, I can always do that later. As far as the enclosure goes, it is sealed off behind the door panel. I layer down some fiberglass on the front and back of each door panel to add strength and also to seal it off as a chamber.- Zv4 18 in a 2004 Pontiac Vibe (Full Build)
