  1. id be happy with that considering the price...
  2. ive currently got tweeters in the 4x6 plates in the dash from the factory and 6.5s full range in the doors and 6.5 full range with adapters in the 6 x 9s factory locations in the back... i was gonna do the components the same... but find a place for the tweeters in the back... the back set not necessary?
  3. actually the passive crossover comes with the component and u would need that to high pass the tweeter and then u would use the amp to limit the high pass to the passive crossover... or is that not correct or recommended?
  4. it would be active... place the components to the front im assuming?
  5. really? everything i read said the subs like huge boxes... i can build another if i dont like it... or preferably build another box for 2 subs! 152 on sum 10s sounds nice... thanx for the info guys!
  6. it will be a 15"... will edit the first post... not a yellow top?
  7. I understand that the amount of decibels you are able to achieve is totally dependant on install. I was wondering if anyone would care to guess or offer a range of where i might be with my setup. I have a 2004 blazer with stock alternator and battery. Should be 105 amp alt... I have 1/0 gauge Kicker wire running to the back. I have done the big 3. I'm waiting on a SQ2200. It will be pushing a HDC3 15 copper D2 at 1ohm in a 3/4" dual baffle mdf box with 5.29 net tuned at 35.79 hertz according to torres. Any guesses? I have a Kenwood ddx371 head unit and a kenwood four channel pushing 4 kenwood 6.5's as of right now. I plan on going SQ with the mids and highs too very soon. How much more will i need to do to the electrical to give the SQ2200 what it wants? battery? alt? any info would be appreciated!!!
  8. I am wondering about the soundqubed 4 channel amp and their component sets. Anyone have any experience with them? I am considering buying the amp and 2 sets of components for my 2004 2 door s10 blazer... anyone heard them that can vouch for their power?
  9. Zak from SQ called this morning... apologized for the confusing email insinuating i would be charged for the repair and said it was a manufacturing defect covered under warranty...will have it back next week.... looking forward to that!
  10. well.... i gotta get some watts to it first but sounds good to me... sent u a pm...
  11. ages ago? like 1996? im too old for this shit! nah... that'll never happen!
  12. Lol... im from washington originally.... not too much word about AQ and SQ around here... i already bought another Hdc3 15 for a friend who heard mine... plan on buying their 4 channel and 2 components if they make this right...
  13. http://rma.soundqubed.com/1984 here is the link for the amp repair needed... you can also lower the last number to see previous returns... they have had several issues with their amps but how many do they sell? a shitload im guessing... i dont agree with the pictures they post of the bill of sale telling any would be thief the name and address of people who have purchased equipment which is most likely in their car... mines not on there or i would throw a fit about that... now i just want my amp back so i can test the hdc3!
  14. im in 47591... jaycee is correct... i hoped if they determined it was a defect they would replace... so it was quite a shock when i received the email saying i have to pay for the repair... im starting to regret my decision to go with SQ... i cant find another issue anyone has had with them... they were supposed to call me today according to an email i received... they never called...
  15. okay... thanks... im hoping i can get past all this without a sour taste in my mouth and get the same results as everyone else... i am waiting on a call from them... any input on this amp is appreciated... thanks again guys!
  16. Thanks phatboi.... I believe the only thing that has changed on them is the logo... i ordered the amp and a hdc 3 15 d2... as soon as the amp got remote power, it smoked... i double checked my wiring and am positive that it wasn't an error on my part... i removed a working amp and put the SQ in its place... also the amp for the highs that gets its power from the same distribution block is fine... i spoke with customer service and told them i didn't really want that amp back, as it never worked right in the first place. they told me they would only repair the amp. not only did i have to pay for return shipping, now they have sent me an email saying i have to pay 120 to get the amp repaired... so now i have 575 in a $400 amp.... is this a standard practice? The sub is a monster and i read all the good reviews about AQ and SQ but my first experience with them is turning into a nightmare....
  17. What does everyone think about the soundqubed 2200? Has anyone ever had an issue with one?
